i had an idea that could help me to improve. by creating a reference list of my characters i can draw from these instead of painting over a render, or even referencing a render. and since it is my own line work it should be easier for me to replicate it from the referencethat's the idea anyway ;)
another speed sketch
tried another approach. i posed the models then just did a screen cap rather then a render and worked on it for an hour to see what i come up with
another speedsketch
yeah i will have to do a LOT of these. another 1 hour speed sketch with the reference i was using
1hour speed sketch
using some reference i did a 1 hour speed paint practice. this time i have a set goal...to get a folio quality image done in an hour speed paint. so i plan to do a LOT of these

bed line fix
so basically i am streamlining my folio process to be as efficient as humanly possible. taking out every single superfluous step so i spend the maximum time on the final "make it sexy" step
bed pins

painty color kiss
now ready for polishing
line fixing
not anywhere near as many line fixings needed in this one
wet smootches
first we have the render. also i am working on the panda comic from the beginning as i still don't like the pacing of the first 8 pages. when there is something legible i will post the pages
quick paint
now i can polish it up
line collections
with this step i just work on the areas that need fixing or refinement. next step will be to do the Photoshop filter and add my shape painting
bunny moves
so i am refining my work flow a bit more to try and be just a bit more efficient. first the render. i took a lot more time on the pose then normal and just lucked out on finding a better angle for my camera then my initial sketchthe next step will be the line work corrections but this time I will only work on the areas...
