Figured it out. Somik & Severinka cooking mod is broken with update so once I took that out it worked.

I updated everything and I have no option to click custom foods on the stove or refrigerator, but I can on the grill.

What new recipes ? Make sure tou dont have older versions hidingin your folders. Update all fridge related mods
Unfortunaltey my sims can only cook and drink the "new" reciepes, but the "old" one are nowhere to be found. Why is that? :-(
