You left out what a dirty, hurtful trick Nick's sister played on him by manipulating him into a womanless pageant without telling him up front, for her own selfish ends.

J Chimera

And so should Nick's sister for playing such a nasty, hurtful trick on her own brother. What a spiteful b****.

You didn't disappoint everyone, Urban. I think you did a very good job on this story, making it unique in being about a boy who is unsure about being a boy and who finds out through his experiences that he wants to stay a boy. I enjoyed the unusual twists you introduced as well. And frankly I think you ended it just right. A very well written story that touched me deeply in particular with his father's experiences and memories. Thank you for writing it.

I think Nick finding out his sister tricked him like that on top of what Ed did to him, was the "dash of cold water in the face", he needed to bring him back to reality and his true self. He really wants to be a boy but he doesn't rule out dressing up as a girl again at some future point. He also learned a valuable lesson about how other people, even family, will use you for their own purposes without any real regard for your feeings or desires.

I hope Nicky wins next year.

Wow..... so it seems Nick's sister knew all along that, the Contest was, for boys dressed as Girls. That was a surprise to me. Even though, there was hints, from the beginning of the Story. And I liked the ending, because some boys, don't want to be Girls ALL THE TIME.... Just some time's ...For FUN 💕

Then leave her a message privately, and not here, since I don't like reading your negative criticism. If you think Urban's stories are so off the mark, there is nothing keeping you here, you can quit any time. And you are so critical, that if I call you out on it, you go running to Urban and complain that I hurt your feelings. Yes, I know about your messages to Urban complaining about me. We are friends remember?

Hey Shane, I will try my best.

Sorry to disappoint you guys. After reading these comments, I was feeling very emotional and was depress and crying, don't know why, maybe been on, HRT is really affecting my mood. Just what to say that writing a story needs time, imagination, emotion's to connect with the story but sometimes it does not happen, '(can't hit a home run every time I play). Hope you understand me.

Shane Olson

Wow.. another ok start with a weak ending in such a negative tone. I did actually use to enjoy your stories, but as of late you have in what seems as a downward spiral. I hope all is well for you in the real world..

Edward should be,.... punished. Or worse.

Brianna Demonet

Ed as an adult should have been more respectful. He's lucky i wasn't Nicky's dad. She handled her well. I for one am proud of her. Be your own person Nick.

Maybe this ending wasn’t typical of Urban’s stories, but the reality is some guys may like cross dressing, but they don’t want to become a girl. Like Nicky said, she didn’t know if she would change her mind in the future, but she wanted to still be a boy. Nicky was treated so poorly by Edward at the dance. I would have felt like I was an inch high at Edward’s table, basically being displayed as a freak for everyone’s amusement. This could have influenced Nicky in feeling she would never be a real girl. Nicky was extremely interested in Stephanie, and maybe that is what influenced her decision as well, since it seemed she would love to date him as Nick. Nick also never displayed any signs of gender dysphoria, it was more like he was intrigued at the idea of dressing as a woman, but didn’t desire to become a woman. This story seems unresolved, but life always continues. I think had Urban wanted to do so, this story could have gone on for a few more chapters, but maybe she wants to concentrate on the “Working at a Boutique” story which can have some very intriguing plots if she wants to go there. All in all, this ending seemed sudden, but I am not the one writing these stories, Urban ended it the way she wanted.

It's nice that he seems to have gotten it out of his system. Not everybody should be going through the struggle if it's not for them.

You’ve ended the story ! Why. It had the possibility of being a boy to girl struggle. So disapointed.
