Genie can be scary for sure! One thing to remember if it feels unstable is that it’s less about keeping the pole in your knees the way you would in a knee hold or leg hang, and more about pressing the pole into the back of your legs like in a martini sit!

I don’t tend to use genie often for pole archery because it’s a little unstable when you go hands-free, but yes, the top knee is essentially in a very similar position!

Interesting point to make the middle/transition also interesting, as it is indeed a whole routine. ☺️ ‘Genie’ reminds me of the Cupid or Apollo pole-archer poses. 😆
