Gynocracy Development Updates
🕑 Added 2025-03-02 17:17:48 +0000 UTCHello everybody! I'm back with another update on the development of Gynocracy. Last time I wrote about the challenges of creating scenes with a large number of characters. I'm still struggling with this issue and unfortunately it's hindered my productivity lately. While I'm quite happy with the results (see the attached previews), it is very time consuming. For now, I have decided to skip the remaining wedding scenes and focus on the events that follow. It's for the sake of my own sanity and a sense of progress :)
Otherwise, I updated chapter 9 with some fixes and improvements. I know it's not the update you've all been waiting for, but if you still want to download the latest version, I've updated the links in the bonus chapter announcement post.
Besides some bug fixes (some images in the gallery were never unlocked), I added a new "feature". The game now displays a detailed portrait of key characters when you first meet them and at other key moments in the game. You can see one of these portraits attached to this post.
Finally, a fun little thing I've been experimenting with. Remember the rock band The Jynxed mentioned earlier in the game? I still hope that they will appear in person later in the game. And I used the AI to create some songs for them. Check out this rock ballad called Gynocracy:

Thank you for the preview pictures! I wonder who is the woman who Lydia looks at so gloomily. It can't be Kalie because of her longer hair. But who is it, Jayna? Perhaps Zairus can recognize her by looking the reflection in Lydia's eyes - lol?

Poor Ryan. They even make him kiss his wife through a gag. P.S. The ballad is really cool, by the way. There are tragic notes in it that make you empathize with Kalie and John π
