Not sure if you're asking for spoilers, but you're getting closer to the answer. All the relationship drama gets resolved this arc.

So will the trio end up being a throuple type relationship or just a standard monogamous relationship between Kai and probably zzn? I feel like the stories leaning towards the first but I also feel like that’s just smoke.

We have our answer on how much Power the relative peak of Physique for now is worth. I'm assuming only the absolute most dedicated Physique specialists can even entertain the idea of reaching that high, so yeah, 800 really does seem too low. We have to be missing something. It really is weird. The energy sources have endless layers to their usage, but despite all the implications there's also something deeper, Physique has mostly been presented as a straightforward increase in Power, and a slow one at that. But that can't be right because we've now seen Blackblood Physique, Divine Phyisque, Ironpath Physique, etc. We just don't have the slightest clue how they work. The trio have now gathered the favor of two great powers in Rosemount. The Empress ended up being more lowkey than I expected. She didn't have this flamboyant aura that the other great powers did - like Matiavel's destructive crimson or Graveylin's glamour powers. I suppose that's because of her more balanced portfolio, but I think that's also just her personality. The elves are definitely committed to the trio as allies now, and I don't see Korm betraying them even well into the future, so that's another lock as an ally. Now, I have no evidence for it other than vibes, but I wonder if the Windlord becomes an antagonist. Matiavel's going down one way or the other, then there would be no one that wants to oppose the trio other than localized threats they'd have already grown beyond. Except potentially the Windlord. So I wonder how this war goes. Because there's the setup I'd been looking for. Matiavel is weakened. He's unlikely to recover anytime soon - ergo, by the end of the book. That gives the trio the perfect opportunity to take out the villain of Rosemount, which will instantly make them one of the most powerful people in the continent AND the world, politically equivalent to a great power. In other words, chaos. They've made powerful allies, but who knows how anyone acts in that situation. Of course the far more likely scenario is that Matiavel is saved up for the next book, which will indeed end with him dead and the trio likely having good relations with every remaining great power. It's just that Kai even considering the idea of fighting Matiavel this chapter makes me feel like it might just happen. Ceryyn continuing to be the harbinger of cliffhangers has become a bit of a nice gag to me. Still, I hope we get a bit more depth with her. And that the trio gets their Primal Loom gear first. Whatever these next missions are going to be, the trio are absolutely going to be delayed if they don't get their rewards now. I reread the Battle of Traeton and for some reason, remembered Graveylin's Radiant Mantle as giving +50 Power, but it was actually +150, which makes a lot more sense. I wonder what their Primal clothing will be like. I'm especially interested in monstrous 'ol Kai's fashion sense.
