Polaris + Transit: An Unexpectedly difficult video to make
🕑 Added 2024-09-04 10:43:44 +0000 UTCHi everyone. This one ended up being a bit of a nightmare to put together, but as usual was great fun. In the past month:
I've been ill twice and kept losing my voice. That made recording audio difficult.
Had an SSD fail which caused me to lose a bunch of draft edits (I am normally obsessive about backing things up so I didn't lose everything but it was still a huge inconvenience).
Had some pretty bad news from a close relative which delayed things a little - don't worry, it doesn't affect me personally and I'm fine.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy it! This is the 'pre-release' version for anyone wanting early access. The fully 'quality checked' version will be released on youtube tomorrow.
I will still be releasing another Buran video on Patreon and will do a Polaris bonus video in the coming weeks. Until then I have some catching up to do...

Absolutely zero chance of that ever happening.

Did you in any stage of the proses plan to sing the first part of the video?

Damn Noah Webster. Well I suppose this is the penance you pay for burning down our White House. (I think that was part of his reasoning for differentiating our spelling at least.)

Good spot. I just checked (my spelling isn't great anyway). Apparently it's 'fuelled' in British-English and 'fueled' in US-English. My writing is a mix of the two so I'll probably just leave it.

This may be one of those UK spelling things, so I may be wrong, but at 7:11 shouldn't it be "solid fueled" not "solid fuelled"? Although admittedly, fuelled sounds far more Scottish, adding extra syllables where they do not belong. "Polaris is a solid fuel-led ICBM you cheese eating surrender monkeys."
