“What’s the magic?” I ask in annoyance at how dramatic Hestia is being. Edias is still twitchy from how I keep speaking into her abdomen/groin and is gripping my hair while trying to compose herself.
“First it’s Bell with his stupid fire magic… Now it’s you?? What do these even mean!” She complains loudly and punches the back of my head while having a tantrum as the short-stack goddess does.
I’ve seen her with Bell, she’s worse. At least I’m not being molested.
“Hestia, I swear to all things living if you don’t finish my status update and show me what my magic is I will show you a true temper tantrum that will put your little childish show to shame.” I blankly intone while pushing the littlest amount of annoyance into my voice as Hestia quickly slaps a paper on my back and with a little light show she quickly jumps off of me after throwing the paper at the back of my head.
Edias picks the paper up and begins looking at it blankly as I finally get my face out of her luscious thighs and stomach and sneak myself in between her arms and under her chin to look at my status.
Hestia grits her teeth in jealousy at our position while probably thinking about Bell, but I ignore her in favor of looking at my new magic.

I calmly closed my eyes and moved my hand into a ram seal (from Naruto, yes I am a weeb, how did you know?) and pointed it towards the table in the living room while taking a deep breath.
“... Jūryoku no Hakai.” I intone in a trance as I feel my magic move in a way it has never done so before.
Before, my magic only moved to expel my Cursed Energy into the world in place of my physical stamina, now on the other hand… It’s expelling itself from my mind directly into the world.
I latch onto the flow of magic as I push it out of myself and move it inside of me to keep my grasp on its control no matter what. I slowly begin expelling it, flowing it, preparing it to be expelled, and repeating that process.
I get lost in the feeling of my pure magic, untainted by the Cursed Energy it usually has to expel when I use it as I do my best to remember as much as I can
[-... Michael! … Wake up!]
I suddenly hear the familiar voice of my Edias in my head as I snap out of my magical trance and look around me.
Edias floats in front of me while holding my face right in front of hers right next to the chandelier- when did I stand next to the chandelier? Wait, how am I as tall as the chandelier? Have I finally achieved the forbidden dream of all men of being a 10 feet-hulking monstrosity of muscle and a 20-inch bitch breaker? Wait, I’m flying, never mind ignore that.
Wait…
I’m flying?!?
I look around the room despite being forced to face Edias’s face (not that I’m complaining) to see the entire living room’s furniture flying and spinning in the air with Hestia swimming through the air like a fish towards the exit while huffing and puffing and making no progress.
Did I make the room a zero-gravity zone accidentally? I must’ve pushed my magic into the surroundings while on that magic high and forced everything to be weightless.
Edias pulls my face back to face hers while looking at me worriedly as I fail to resist and push myself forward to capture her lips much to her surprise and embarrassment.
[... Mikey?]
{I’m fine Edias. Sorry about that, my first use of real magic intoxicated me with the feeling and I lost control.} I mentally send a message through our link as I continue kissing her, relishing in the shy, embarrassed reciprocation she gives me while I grab her waist and pull her closer.
[... Idiot… Not now…]
She does her usual tsundere grumbling as I chuckle and break our kiss while still holding her by the waist and looking around.
“... Jūryoku no Hakai.” I chant again while taking control of all of the furniture I floated and slowly place them back in their positions while taking control of Hestia’s body and spinning it like a Beyblade since her twin tails do a helicopter funny spin.
“MICHAEL YOU BASTA- HUGHHH…” She screams out but is interrupted by the helicoptering as I realize the power I have just gained.
“Edias… I am too powerful.” I speak solemnly with weight despite the mischievous glint in my eyes as Edias rolls her eyes and pecks me on the lips shyly.
[... Let her… go… She’ll be… too dizzy…]
I (do not) pout. “My Edias is too nice, she isn’t letting me have any fun.” I whine childishly while letting Hestia down on a couch and pushing my face into Edias’s neck sadly.
[... Sorry but… you’re too… evil now… so I… have to… stop you… with the… power of… k-kisses and… h-hugs…]
Edias plays the role of a hero vanquishing the evil in my heart well as she brings my face up and peppers it with kisses everywhere as my insides melt and I quickly grab Edias closer to myself while beginning my counter-attack and barrage Edias with kisses of my own.
“... You suddenly begin levitating everything in the room, force me to fight for my life to get something to grab on to, forcefully spin me in the air because you think its funny, and THEN YOU BEGIN KISSING YOUR GIRLFRIEND IN FRONT OF ME TO SPITE ME!? I WILL DESTROY YOUR BLOODLINE!” Hestia screams bloody murder and begins trying to jump at me and Edias as we break away and stare at her incomprehensibly before turning to each other with twitching eyebrows.
[... Short…]
I burst out laughing in the air and almost lose my footing(?) as Edias grabs onto me to help me stand(?) while smiling brightly herself.
“STOP FLIRTING WHEN I’M TRYING TO KILL YOU!” Hestia screams angrily as I continue laughing loudly and holding onto Edias for dear life.
“Y’know, Edias, she did say she’d destroy my bloodline earlier… How about we ensure that doesn’t happen before she can do that.” I huskily ‘whisper’ to Edias loud enough for Hestia to hear as Edias explodes in embarrassment and Hestia follows through while twitching where she stands before running away.
[... Y-you… SHAMELESS!]
Edias quickly pushes me away and floats away from me while covering her face as I almost have a heart attack from the amount of moe that’s running through me at this scene.
She’s too adorable!

Pushing away my thoughts and unholy feelings (That Edias definitely felt but didn’t comment on out of embarrassment), I quickly grab Edias by the waist and run- fly after Hestia while opening my senses to find where Bell is.
He’s not in the manor.

The idiot went to the dungeon because he wanted to test his magic.
I am going to beat the rabbit out of that boy.
I quickly pluck Hestia’s running form out of the ground as her feet flail in the air and she screams bloody murder (again) while I hold back my laughs.

Edias is still hiding her face in her hands while pushing herself into me as I hold her. I am fighting for my life right now, how am I not supposed to corrupt such a cute creature when I’m the big bad wolf???
“Oi, Hestia. Stop being overdramatic. Bell left the house and hasn’t returned yet.” Hestia freezes and quickly (somehow) turns herself mid-air to look at me in shock as I float down to the ground while placing Hestia down as well and still holding Edias in my arms.

I exhale deeply to remove the overwhelming desire that just entered me at the last one before turning to face the worried Hestia.
“Knowing the idiot, he’s out using his new magic because he couldn’t wait any longer. Any minute now the idiot will come back home beaten and ragged because he was too stupid to actually take armor and weapons.” Hestia pales at my words and grabs my collar with a lunge.
“M-Mikey! Please go after him right now to make sure he’s safe! W-what if he… What if he’s in tro-” I put my hand on her mouth and slowly turn to my still blushing and fidgety Edias.
“Edias, is Bell safe?” Hestia freezes in my grasp as Edias lets out a very small nod to Hestia before covering her face again.
I slowly turn my head to look at Hestia as she stares at Edias like she’s the greatest thing this week.
How stupid. Edias is the greatest thing always. Heh.
[... Rabbit boy… an idiot… If I… didn’t stop… my monsters…]
Edias doesn’t say anything more and I quickly jump to improve Edias’s rep to Hestia.
“Edias saved Bell from dying by not spawning any monsters once he was too tired to continue. He would have died if Edias didn’t help.” Hestia’s face goes through too many emotions to count before she lunges at Edias and hugs the monsters out of her.
Not literally.
“Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!” Hestia’s eyes become wet as Edias freezes and unconsciously wraps her thin arms around Hestia before patting her consolingly.
“M-Michael… You’re replaced as my second favorite child.” WHAT!
“WHAT!? Edias isn’t even your child!? She’s almost as old as you! What the hell?” I indignantly shout while pulling my Edias away as Edias herself looks at Hestia weirdly all the while Hestia smirks at me with teary eyes.
How dare she! The AUDACITY!
I am honestly debating either making her shit herself or leaving for another familia. I honestly can’t tell which one is more appealing right now.
Edias pokes my cheek with a wry expression as I twitch.
Damn, busted.
[Not a… child… I killed… more adventurers… than years… you’ve lived…]
Edias points out to Hestia as I translate and Hestia pales at that since it’s actually probably true.
“W-well that may be so, but you are in my Familia! You are now my second favorite Familia Member. Sorry Mikey, you’re in third place now.” She smirked at me victoriously as I hugged Edias from behind and glared at Hestia.
“I’m taking my Edias and going to a different Familia!” I declare and despite Hestia hearing the obvious lie, she quickly runs to us in ‘panic’ and grabs us desperately.
“No! Wait! I’m sorry! Please don’t take my second favorite chi- Familia member! You can leave though, Mikey.” OH, THIS BITCH DID NOT.
“Alright, I’m leaving.” I announce with seriousness as Hestia actually pales at my non-lie and I begin floating away with Edias still in my arms, blushing up a storm.
“NOOOO! I’M SORRY MICHAEL I WAS JOKING! DON’T LEAVE MEEEEEEE!” Hestia jumped at my floating figure, somehow hopping several feet up and landing on my back as I do not stop.
“You’ve decided your fate and it just so happened to have split off from mine. I am sorry.” I dramatically moved my head away from Hestia as she began hitting the back of my head with her fists.
“Noooo! Who’s gonna cook me food and get me easy Valis from the dungeon now!?!” … She’s REALLY testing me right now. I am going to yoink this bitch.
“Jūryoku no Hakai. Alright, you’re in time out. A slap in the face puts a bitch in her place, Hestia.” I pull Hestia off of me with my new gravity powers and begin spinning her again as she screams in fear and apologizes, but I ignore her in favor of sulking next to a wall as Edias shakes her embarrassment away and comes to console me.

CRITICAL HIT!
My heart almost collapses at the cutest line ever told to me in this accursed life of mine as Edias moves in front of me and hugs me consolingly.
If this keeps up, the Edias lewd chapter will come faster than the author planned! Wait-
“Edias… You’re the only one that cares about me in this cruel world… Please allow me to stay with you forever!” I dramatically shed a few tears and hug Edias’s body into the air as her eyes widen and she blushes terribly like earlier.

Hestia screamed something from behind me but I ignored her in favor of kissing my Edias and continuing this now sudden drama rom-com episode we’ve found ourselves in.
If this is a rom-com, this gotta be the weirdest fucking setting for you to have one. I mean, the Cursed Energy Sorcerer with the fucking genocidal DUNGEON of DEATH kissing next to the window in the morning sun while a goddess spins violently in the air and screams her lungs into oblivion behind them while they declare their eternal love for each other.
Life is a fucking simulation man.
And I love it.
**RING RING**
The bell of the mansion suddenly rings as I stop spinning Hestia and she begins running on air trying to get to the door, probably expecting Bell.
I know better though.
I allow Hestia to escape my gravitational grasp as she sprints to the door with speed that would put Allen of Freya Familia to shame.
I look to Edias and she understands and enters me with a nod as I float behind Hestia to greet the person at the door.
“Bell! I was so worri-” Hestia slammed the door open and greeted the person outside only to be surprised at the lack of rabbit features on their face.
Also the lack of white hair.
The lack of red eyes.
Those are elf ears…
“Hello, Lefiya. You’re here quite early, did you not have a planned expedition today?” I greet the elf girl as she looks at Hestia with confusion before turning to me with a smile and nodding.
“U-um, yes. W-we’re leaving in a few hours, but I wanted to d-drop by to speak for a second and… w-well you asked for my status sheet so… h-here…” She entered the manor under Hestia’s confused gaze as I closed the door behind her and turned around to see her hiding her face by looking down and extending a paper towards me.

Oh shit. {Sorry Edias, you’re the super duper cutest out there, I promise.} I try to calm Edias’s rising jealousy as she ignores me.
“We will have to work on your physical stats though, your magic is making great progress but I do not allow any of my students to be a one-trick pony.” She nods seriously at my words as I stare at her skill wryly.
Such a tame description for such a powerful skill. What the heck man…
“I am almost jealous of your skill and magic, it seems I’ve picked a particularly talented student.” Lefiya’s face lights up like a glowing Tomato as Hestia gapes at me.
“S-student!? What’s happening right now!?” Lefiya blinks at Hestia before turning to me with a tilted head.
“I never got time to tell her, I had to deal with some stuff yesterday with the earthquake and whatnot. Speaking of, is your familia not worried about the ground-breaking earthquake that occurred just yesterday?” I ask curiously, totally not the one responsible for the aforementioned earthquake.
She shakes her head. “Our executives were slightly worried, but the guild has assured us that nothing has changed from what they’ve seen so far, so Captain Finn decided to continue with the expedition anyway.” Interesting, alright then.
“Now, do you mind reassuring us that you had not told anyone about anything we discussed yesterday or hinted about it in any way?” I ask her seriously as she nods and turns to Hestia.
It’s really not even necessary now that I have Edias but alright.
“I have not told, hinted, or in any way revealed my new tutelage with M-Mikey S-sensei to anyone outside of this familia.” … Sensei?
“... Alright, why are you calling me ‘sensei’?” She blushes crimson at my words and looks down in embarrassment.
“I-I researched the Far East yesterday… I tried my best to m-memorize their culture and honorifics… T-that is the one I call my teacher r-right?” … I would normally be appalled at the suffix but I cannot get angry at such a cute creature.
“... There is no need for such a thing, just call me Mikey as usual.” She looks horrified at my words and shakes her head aggressively.
Hestia is watching this entire scene with twitching eyebrows and visible confusion while staring at me weirdly.
I swear to all things holy if she starts spouting some shit about me being a ‘playboy’ or whatever right now I’m going to show her true fear.
“I-I cannot do that! I n-need to show you respect s-somehow…” Lefiya shyly held her skirt as I smirked under my collar.
“Oh? If that’s the case…” I move closer to her as she almost looks horrified at what’s to come. “How about, master~?”
I hear Hestia choke behind me and Edias shift in both amusement and jealousy inside of me.
Wait, she wants to call me master?
[... C-cease your… thoughts… i-idiot…]
Lefiya just looks like she’s about to pass out as she keeps repeating the letter ‘m’ helplessly, eyes staring at me with horrified embarrassment as I try my hardest to not let my amusement show.
I eventually just pat her on the head when she looked like she was going to collapse to snap her out of her stupor. “I’m joking Lefiya. If you do need a title to be comfortable, just call me Shishou. It’s basically the same thing as Sensei.” I will live up to your legacy, Scathach-Shishou!
I mean I do use spears, and I have an idiotic red-eyed student that… has almost nothing else in common with Cu.
“S-shishou?” I think my heart just imploded. “O-okay then.” She nodded with less embarrassment now, but still with a sizeable blush on her face.
I decided to finally approach the thing I’ve been side-lining and speak up. “Lefiya, would you mind making a Binding Vow with me to ensure that no secrets come out from you and give our familia some peace of mind?”
She blinked at my question before furrowing her brows in confusion.
“Have you ever heard of a Geass or magical contract?” I ask to help her understand as her eyes widened.
“I-I don’t know what a Geass is but… aren’t magical contracts very e-expensive items that are only used by n-nations for important diplomatic a-agreements?” Huh, didn’t know that.
“Don’t worry about that. Would you be fine signing something akin to a magical contract with me?”
“U-um… T-that depends on the conditions… M-magical contracts infringe on the signer’s w-wills and…” She doesn’t continue and I already understand her worries.
“My Binding Vows are not the same, you can still break them but…” I eye her from the edge of my vision. “You really should not.” I add helpfully as she nods thoughtfully.
“W-what are the conditions?” She nervously asks as I think for a second.
“Hmm. In exchange for your silence regarding all matters Hestia Familia, not even hinting or writing anything regarding anything to do with them to anyone unless told otherwise by me, I and all Hestia Familia members will not meaningfully harm you in any malicious way outside of training nor purposefully target you malevolently. Are these conditions acceptable?” Lefiya blinks and tilts her head in confusion in a cute way again.
“W-why the part about harming me?” She asks curiously as I sigh.
“Lefiya… What would you have done if I didn’t add that condition and began harming you maliciously.” She furrowed her brows for a second before thinking about it and widening her eyes in realization.
“I-I-I… Y-you wouldn’t…” She looked at the ground in horror as I sighed and patted her on the head.
“You’re right that I wouldn’t, but if someone else had this ability and you didn’t think about it in time, you would’ve been in real trouble.” She continued looking at the ground shamefully as I pat her on the head a couple more times and then let go.
“Just be more thoughtful in the future, okay? Now, are these conditions still okay with you or are you having second thoughts now that you realized the power of these vows?” She looked at the ground silently for a few seconds before shaking her head and looking up at me with determination and something else in her eyes.
“N-no! You could’ve simply not said anything a-and let me accept that vow ignorantly, b-but you helped me realize the terrible implications it could h-have and…” She shook her head more. “Y-you instead taught me to be more m-mindful… So… I a-accept these conditions!”
With those words said, a sizeable amount of my Cursed Energy bursts out of my body and surrounds Lefiya and myself for a few seconds as Lefiya and Hestia seem to realize something is amiss, but not what exactly.
Huh, Lefiya’s high-level senses must be helping her notice that. Hestia is just a goddess and is automatically cheating, but Lefiya’s senses are impressive.
Eventually, the Cursed Energy settles as Lefiya stares at me with awe.
“W-what was that?? I’ve never felt something so… w-weird… before…” She seems to realize what she said moments after as she shakes her arms in front of her with panic. “N-not like a bad w-weird! O-odd I mean!”
I smirk at the panicking elf girl as Edias lets out some amusement at the nervous and panicking nature of Lefiya.
[... What is… a girl… like her… doing in… the dungeon…?]

“I am not offended Lefiya, calm down. Now, do you mind making another Binding Vow with me?” I ask Lefiya as she blinks before I turn my head to Hestia. “Also, Hestia I sense Bell at the edge of my senses so you should probably go prepare some bandages for the idiot. He’ll be here soon.” I feel the idiot limping his way home with nothing but the emergency dagger I infused with Cursed Energy and ordered him to keep at all times with him.
Hestia began running like a headless chicken in no time, constantly switching from going to the storage room, to Bell’s bedroom, to the kitchen, and repeating the process.
I ignore her and turn to Lefiya who tilts her head at me. “U-um… I d-do not mind but… w-why?”
I make a humming sound. “Certain reasons that are important for your training. If you do not mind then…” I clear my throat. “Lefiya Viridis, In exchange for my training, tutelage, and making you stronger at a much faster pace with my special abilities and techniques, you will never act maliciously against the Hestia Familia or any of its allies in any way, shape, or form. You will also do anything ordered by me, Michael Inumaki, till the very last letter within reason.” Lefiya’s eyes narrowed in thought, trying to find anything in my speech as I nodded approvingly.
“I accept these conditions.” Wait what!?
Massive amounts of Cursed Energy exploded out of me and engulfed Lefiya, overshadowing the meager amount that came out last time as the Cursed Energy enveloped every part of Lefiya for several moments and a small bond was created between the both of us.
“... Lefiya, what did you just do…” I facepalmed so hard as Edias cackled inside of me and Lefiya tilted her head at me with confusion.
“Think about the last line in that vow… and then tell me, did I specify within whose ‘reason’ I’m talking about here?” Lefiya’s eyes turned thoughtful for a moment before opening in realization and staring at me in shock.
“... I- uh- oh-” Lefiya stuttered and pushed her face into her hands in embarrassment as I sighed again.
“I was testing to see if you’d notice something in my vow… Why would you immediately accept…?” Her ears turned red at my question as Edias continued cackling evilly inside of me for some reason.
“I-... I t-thought…” She tried to find words to say but came up blank and pushed her face back in her hands before suddenly shaking the embarrassment away and staring up at me determinately. “I-It’s okay! I… t-trust you… with that v-vow…” Her red ears twitched and I struggled to hold my face together.
An idiot… A stupid idiot…
“Haah… I won’t abuse the trust you’ve put in me, but I will have to change some things now that… this vow happened.” This bond… seems interesting. I will experiment with it once Lefiya returns from her expedition.
I pat Lefiya on the head again as her ears twitch again. “When you return from the expedition please bring me another copy of your sheet, I’d like to know where exactly you’ll end up before we start our training. Would that be fine with you?” I ask her while glancing at her face as she nods silently while pushing my hand away with her head.
Wait never mind, she’s just pushing her head into my hand. Defiance? Hmph.
“Do you still have the weapon I let you keep yesterday?” Lefiya blushed deeper and sheepishly shook her head under my hand as I hummed.
I discreetly put my hand behind my back and pushed a part of Edias out while calling onto a sheathed Ninjato that caught my eye from the 17th-floor crystal room treasure and slowly took it out from behind my back.
“Here, I want you to keep this on your hip during the expedition so you can get used to the feeling as soon as possible. The extra weight should also do you some good for all of your stats except magic.” Lefiya blinked at the suddenly appearing weapons as she looked up at me with confused eyes while taking the weapon in her hands gently.
“U-uh… Where did you g-get this…?” She trailed the pattern on the sheath with her soft fingers as I smiled mischievously.
“I had it in my armory.” She looked at me with half-lidded eyes and an unamused face. She was clearly asking where I took it out right now, not where I brought it.
“... O-okay. I’ll take g-great care of it…” She held onto it tightly with a determined face as I rolled my eyes and ruffled her hair.
“If the weapon can be used to keep you safe, then I don’t care if it breaks or not. Your safety matters a lot more to me than the actual weapon.” Her blush intensifies heavily at my words as her lips part and she looks at me with shock. She then quickly turns around with an intense expression and runs to the door.
“I-I need to go! I-I’ll be back when we finish our e-expedition! B-bye M-Mikey S-shishou!” She sprints out of the house without another word as I’m left frozen in my previous position with my hand still in the air.
Edias slowly materializes under my hand once Lefiya leaves as she pushes her head into my hand and pouts at me.

“... Look who’s decided to finally grace us with his presence at home.” I start with a ‘pleasant’ smile and closed eyes as the exhausted Bell withers into the ground with resignation as if accepting his fate already.

“... Oh? Are you not going to try and spout excuses to delay your imminent death?” Hestia and Edias look at me weirdly at my words, but I ignore them in favor of the paling Bell.
“No- I… I was an idiot…” He admits easily while staring at the ground sadly.
“Wrong, you were and still ARE an idiot.” He flinches. “If Edias did not stop spawning monsters from the walls once you collapsed, you would’ve no doubt been killed by monsters and rotting in the dungeon.” My harsh words cause him to flinch again, this time with gritted teeth.
“Of course, because my lovely Edias is such an amazing girl, you’re fine now.” I grab Edias in my arms and kiss her on the head as she freezes at the unexpected actions and looks at me with horror. “But that would not have been the case if Edias was not the cutie pie she is.”

Bell ignores the byplay we’re having right now and stares at the ground with disappointment in himself as I continue ruining the mood of the current scene in favor of embarrassing Edias.
“... I was too excited to try my new magic… It made me feel strong… Stronger than I’ve ever felt before…” He tries to justify and I narrow my eyes and quickly take a step forward (with Edias still in my arms, ignore that part), directly standing in front of Bell as he looks down shamefully.
“I do not care why you made a dumb mistake, I’m telling you not to commit it again or there will be steep consequences. I mean, this is the second time you’ve run into the dungeon with barely a weapon, no armor, and no backup. You’ve been lucky twice, you won’t be the third time.” He flinches and nods slowly as I pat him on the head.
“They say that the third time’s the charm, and that’s not always a good saying. The steep consequences I speak of are not just yours to bear, but mine and Hestia’s too. I am your Familia Captain, Teacher, and older Brother. Do you know how devastated I would be if you ever died in the dungeon because of a stupid mistake? I don’t even need to tell you how Hestia would feel.” Bell looks terribly shameful once Hestia is mentioned and the shortstack goddess nods with a frown.
“I don’t want to ‘kick a man while he’s down’, but… Bell may have accidentally almost spouted something about Observation Haki to the Loki Familia when we were training…” Hestia suddenly comments as Bell switches from his depression to absolute fear as I exhale a single time.
“Bell.” The atmosphere turns cold. “We haven’t done our daily training today, right? I’m sure since you had so much energy that you decided to go on your own to the dungeon, you still have some energy to train, RIGHT?”
Bell shivered in horror as he stared at my poorly illuminated figure after I released my Cursed Energy into the world and muttered 3 single words.

“W-what!? I can’t do that!” Bell shouts out and tries to rise but then grimaces painfully and Hestia jumps to his side to push him down.
“Shut up Bell! Yes, you can, but I’d rather if you did not!” Hestia smacks Bell’s head and glares at me while hugging Bell’s head. “You’re going to force him into lower floors so he can grow faster, and I’m not about to risk his safety because you want him to level up a week or two earlier than he normally would.” Bell gapes at her and then at me as I rise from where I’m sitting and glare down at the both of them.
“... Very well then. While Bell is slacking in the first 8 floors, I will be heading down to the 19th floor to continue growing myself.” Bell’s eyes widen in devastation at my words as I continue staring down at him. “I apologize Bell, it seems the gap between us can only grow-” “I’ll do it!”
Bell suddenly shouts out with a determined face as he pushes himself up painfully and glares at the bed he’s on.
“I-I’ll explore deeper from now on. Please… Let me grow faster so I can stand next to you, Mikey…” Bell bows his head to me while enduring the pain from his injuries as Hestia looks at him worriedly and then at me.
I stare at him silently for a few seconds before nodding firmly. “... Yes. I believe in you, Bell. Once you get some rest, we’ll head out for the dungeon and… begin.”
It’s about time I start focusing on bringing him up again rather than focusing on just myself. If things continued how they were, I’d be level 4 by the time he’s still level 2.

She’s not wrong though. I am getting quite obsessed with Edias, it’s almost concerning.
The fact that Edias is the most trustworthy person in this new life is forcing me to deflect to her in all instances for comfort. No matter what happens, as long as I don’t betray Edias, she will never do anything to harm me and will do her best to keep me safe, and that’s gravitating me to her immensely...
Even if I decided I suddenly now ate babies and killed puppies, Edias would still welcome me with open arms as she’s probably done so much worse herself. If I wanted to be evil, she’d encourage me just the same. If I wanted to be a hero of justice, she’d cheer for me as I vanquished all the enemies and monsters in my path. Even if I just wanted to settle down peacefully, as long as I help her ease herself out of the overflowing Cursed Energy inside of her every now and then, Edias would happily live her life with me as we watch the sunrise and sunset together every day without worry or stress.
To have such a beautiful and reliable figure in my life… how am I not supposed to be hooked?
I turn my Edias around and wrap my arms around her while silently enjoying her touch as she stares at me with confusion before replying to my affection with her own.

I sit atop a pile of monsters with an apple in hand as I bite into it before spitting it out to the side. Under me are Crystal Turtles, Aqua Serpents, Sirens, Harpies, Mermen, Iguazus, Crystatroth Urchins, Blue Crabs, and so much more.

A corpse of a Crystal Turtle is knocked aside as Edias slams an Aqua Serpent into it with strength that almost made it look personal.
It wasn’t. Edias is taking out some stress by beating the shit out of monsters alongside me.
She is my innate technique now, so it’s only fair that she helps me out with fighting even though she’s fighting her own creations right now.

Edias throws the Aqua Serpent into the air and flies up while shaping her hand into a spinning drill as she flies straight through the mouth of the Serpent and out of the tail.
“That was hot.” I comment slyly from where I’m seated as Edias turns to me with a flush but does nothing but huff.
She’s already used to me saying that every time she kills something.
I throw the apple in my hand away before moving both my arms outwards and closing my eyes.
“Jūryoku no Hakai.” I chant and watch as the corpses all around the area all float for a second before a shiny stone explodes out of their bodies and into Edias’s body.
Edias allows the crystals to enter her body without a second look, already used to our arrangement.
I slowly float into the air with my spear in tow as the corpses I sat atop disintegrated.

I already knew I was busted when I realized I could fight level 4s (freshly leveled up ones at most, really, but it counts), but it really puts it into perspective when I realize what I am doing.

Edias pushes her lips onto mine while glaring into my eyes as I smile wryly before simply closing my eyes and enjoying her tender yet aggressive kiss.
“Fine then, I guess we’ll just pick up the 22nd-floor crystal and head home to pick Bell up.” The monsters under us have mostly disintegrated by now, so I pick up all of the drop items and float them into Edias before slowly floating down to the ground.
“Take me away, my princess charming.” I flutter my eyebrows and float myself into Edias’s arms as she rolls her eyes and throws me to the ground roughly before it splits under me and I am surrounded in Edias’s essence once again.
I remember a few minutes of nothing but Edias’s warm and loving presence before I am eventually spat out of the walls into a familiar yet different purple room.
In the middle of the room is the biggest crystal of Edias I’ve seen yet. It glowed warmly at the sight of me as I waved at her happily and Edias’s body spat out of the wall moments later, looking at me weirdly.
“Yes, I know I just waved at you despite having been with you a minute ago and inside of you a mere moment ago as well.” I answered with a complete deadpan as she smiled wryly at me before floating to the crystal.
I moved to the crystal as well and held Edias’s hand as she placed her hand on her crystal and began pulling.
Then comes the complicated process of linking the crystal to me and then shoving it into Edias’s body.

Not even looking at the magic stones and drop items, I don’t think I’ll ever need money again and I haven’t even checked the lower floors.
“Hey Edias, do you mind if I ask how many floors there are in the dungeon?” I curiously ask as Edias freezes.

“I know there are at least 70.” She stares at me with surprise and I see her narrow her eyes at me. “It’d make sense if there is like 100, a nice even number.”
The 70 thing is because Omori mentioned something about a juggernaut from floor 70 and accidentally confirmed that there are that many floors.
She shook her head.

She smirks at me and puts a finger in front of her mouth in a shushing motion as I roll my eyes and pull her into my arms.
“Fine then, keep your secrets.” If she doesn’t feel comfortable telling me then I won’t force her to. I have my secrets as well and she doesn’t push me for them, so I won’t either.
Plus, I will eventually explore her to the very bottom anyway.

“Okay Edias, please pick up all the shit in this room and then take me away!” Edias nods and extends both her hands out as they morph into black blobs and begin eating up everything in the room.
I casually pick up a nice looking spear a second before Edias’s black matter eats it up and spin it in my hands before throwing my old, battered spear into Edias.
She turns to me with a raised eyebrow at the spear that was suddenly impaled into her as I hold back my snorts.
You know, someone one day might just notice how the weapon I’m using is familiar and ask me where I got it, and they’ll be in for a fun surprise as I expel thousands of adventurer bodies and ask them which of them are their familia members.
I think I’m losing my sanity.
Edias finishes eating up all of the bodies and the floor splits under me as I blink.
“Let me out in the 18th flooooor-” I scream out as I fall and Edias’s presence wraps around me for only a minute before I’m expelled into a floor of familiar forestry and the sight of a run-down city in the distance.
I had actually passed by this city on my way down to check it out, but not for long enough to actually check out anything inside of it.
I was seen moving through though, so I think that being seen making my way back up is important or people might get suspicious.
So as Edias pops out of the wall behind me and quickly enters my body, and then we walk towards the town of Rivira.
I think that’s the name of the town, right? It’s literally a letter or two away from Riveria’s name.
We walk for a few minutes and enter town just in time to see adventurers gathering around something.
{How much you want to bet it’s the Loki Familia?} I ask through the link to Edias as she huffs.

{Edias… you do not like it when I lie to you, so don’t lie to me either. What did you do?} I ask with suspicion while jumping to the top of a somewhat sturdy house and glancing at the Loki Familia.
They look like they’re pretty roughed up. A lot more than they should be considering how they’re only on the 18th floor.
The Goliath should not have spawned yet, no? That’s the only thing that should have challenged them, and even then it’s only a level 4 monster even as a Monster Rex.

My brother... have you read the last two chapters? Not only did Edias just apparently sick an enhanced Goliath on the Loki Familia, but Edias has repeatedly shown pride in the corpses of the adventurers she killed. You have nothing to fear about the dungeon becoming safer lmao.

My biggest fear about the MC's relationship with Edias is that the connection between the two will make the dungeon safer. I honestly like the yandere evil dungeon that only has eyes for the MC. She and Freya would make an S-tier harem (even though they would definitely violently hate each other). Please don't sanitize Edias' slaughtering of adventurers 🙏

I apologize about that and I do admit I may have been going a bit over board with it. I was trying to convey a couple things with the PDA that was happening, 1. The fact that the dungeon had not had any physical contact with literally anyone, and Michael trying to ease her into it by repeated contact. 2. It was supposed to show a sort of 'honeymoon' period where as you may or may not know, relationships usually are filled with this sickeningly sweet stuff until it eventually calms down into every now and then. 3. I was basically trying to give you guys the illusion of everything being okay until Edias decides "Fuck this fuck Loki Familia fuck that bitchass elf girl" and shit went down. I'm sorry again if it ruined your reading experience. Edit: TL;DR, I wanted to convey a realistic early romantic relationship between two very touch starved dumbasses and I wanted to sike yall mf out.

Thanks for the chapter! I don't know if you'd want to take this as a criticism, I'd lean more towards an observation because others might not agree - but I think that between last chapter and this one the Edias PDA's are starting to get a little bit overblown/stale. Don't get me wrong, I'm liking where this is going, but I'd caution to not overdo the 'hand-holding' too much because reading about PDA's over and over and over again was getting repetitive and I was starting to skim. I like this story, and don't want to skim!
