🕑 Added 2022-09-09 13:36:50 +0000 UTCPrior to Monday's upcoming Parks and Rec episode - I wanted to do a deep dive into Aziz, his blind items, obsession with Jennifer Lawrence, and of course his allegations. I won't lie haha I'm nervous to post this one because I know the internet is really divided on his allegations. My general take, is that back in 2018 along with most people I was in the camp of "it's not great, but is it a #MeToo situation??" but having recently re-read the article, I find myself pretty pissed off that Aziz wrote "Modern Romance", publicly talked about how he was a feminist, positioned himself as different than other (douchey) guys, then did THIS, and then...wore the "Times Up" pin a few months after it. So many rotted male celebrities wearing that damn pin! Anyway, time stamps are below - enjoy!

I had the same reaction when I read the article in 2018, it’s crazy how deeply ingrained it is to question women. Also, I liked his response in his comedy standup that he actually addressed the situation, but it also felt a little bit “the bar is in hell”ish too, like deflecting on other friends who had been in similar situations and even very very slightly victim blamey. Either way, love the episode and your insights, so glad I subscribed!
