I loved what you said about commonality. I also wanted to add that I really do think its the answer for women. Sometimes I like to imagine what the world would look like if women had half the solidarity men do. Feminism is not perfection, nor is it all women being besties. Nobody on earth could inherently agree on everything so why should we pretend or see that as an expectation?

i definitely think that does happen like while I’ve listened enough to know now that episodes on conspiracy theories or are not endorsements, but I didn’t necessarily know when I started listening and I definitely was a bit wary because I’ve had so many conversations with people that are like entirely normal until they announce that they like legitimately believe in something unhinged and not in the fun way

Also.. as someone who will worm my way into getting people to change their nasty opinions, the easiest way to get people to double down and NOT listen or hear you out is to just come at them with agression. It always makes me cringe to see people just attacking someone’s bad opinion (unless they’re just a troll) when the better way to go is to slowly turn them around lol. And yes it is so disheartening to see that people just will not care about certain things until it effects them directly. Existing is exhausting!

I do think people sometimes assume that if you don’t outright say it that you believe them in their entirety but as a person who enjoys a conspiracy it’s often that they are taken with the biggest grain of salt! Or sometimes it’s not that I believe in them but I find it interesting enough to be like yeah I could see that
