Big Bleachers fan. I listened to them before I really got into Taylor Swift and honestly, part of the reason I like her new stuff is because it has the same sound as Bleachers. So I'm one of the few that's not tired of it. 😂 Also, I've seen Bleachers perform at festivals and they give a great show. One set they were super late to, they were very apologetic to the crowd and it was one of my favorite live performances I've seen. Love them.

Charli and Taylor have beef because when she was opening for her Rep Tour Charli said that it felt like performing for a bunch of 5 year olds. After that, Taylor did a speech at her tour where she lowkey addresses it saying we never thought we'd be performing in arenas THIS BIG and we wouldn't be able to do that if not for the fans. Their interactions together especially when performing shake it off make it clear Charli doesn't like her

This is fully not related to this ep (it was great tho!), but I saw Shannon post on Tik tok about Emily Mariko and people saying she’s a trad wife. I agree that she’s definitely not a trad wife, and I also agree she gets a lot of unwarranted hate. But I saw a small creator say this in a vid regarding her new tote bags. He basically said he isn’t a fan of Emily Mariko because she treats her followers more like fans to be commodified than trying to build community among her platform. I thought it was an interesting perspective, and although I know that is not at the heart of all the hate she gets, I think it’s a good explanation why as a major creator she can seem somewhat off putting. Seems like a stark contrast to how Shannon treats her fan base. No hate either way.

I'm Irish and live in the US, worked in the music industry, in the US they have no ticket pricing / reselling laws, they (ticketmaster) set prices here based on demand, that's why they fluctuate in price so much! In the EU they have ticketing laws, which means that tickets have a set price, they cannot be sold at fluctuating prices based on demand. So the artist probably has a price let's say $80 that goes directly to them / their costs. Ticketmaster will then take the other let's say $120 on a $200 ticket. Also yes bands make a lot of their money on merch, their ticket prices usually go towards costs and usually smaller artists will never make any money on ticket sales!

It’s definitely music for a fan of 80s music there’s heavy synths and big drums in the old stuff and now he’s onto more of a band and Springsteen kind of vibe but I love his lyrics and sound. To Taylor fans trying to get rid of Jack, Taylor isn’t forced to work with him. That is obviously the sound she wants to create. I think some swifties will do anything not to point a disappointed finger at her.

Oh also! I started taking Ashwaganda in may2022 and it took maybe 3 months to start working for me and then I noticed oh hey I wasn’t anxious spiraling anymore and then it continued working well for me until last month. It takes awhile but make sure you’re getting it from a good source

the comment he made about smaller artists is more accurate than you’d think! even if you’re a solo artist you have to pay a band, a touring manager/booking agent, roadies, a cut to the venue plus food and gas. the overhead costs for new artists mean you’re usually operating at a loss 😬 even a bigger indie band (animal collective) had to cancel their tour recently bc of it. plus you’re only making like .000003 cents a stream while shirts are $2 to make and $25ish to sell! i’m a small artist but i don’t tour bc i don’t have the financial wiggle room. very discouraging for people who have always dreamed of a music career. imo its why nepo babies are so prevalent in the industry nowadays. its probably easier for them to write music if they don’t have to worry about making rent

I'm half way through the episode but I wanted to let you know that I was listening to a podcast this week called How Did we get weird? and they were talking about Herbs. From what I gathered it's basically like a person who for example could be a fan of something and then you would say that you're a fan too and would want to quiz you on the trivia to prove you're an actual fan. And they are smug about knowing the trivia and gets upset that you don't know it, like it's common knowledge. I hope this helps. I've never heard about herbs before until this week lol.

I like the bleachers! I personally love the album “Gone Now”. It has a cool York vibe that I think is signature Jack. I feel it's really different from Taylor.
