My best friend used to work the front desk at The Adolphus hotel in Dallas and met Kacey and Cole when they were staying there. She apparently was nice, obviously high, and looked plastic. Coming from the south and very religious parents that would only let me listen to christian OR country music, hearing Follow Your Arrow come on the radio for the first time as a young girl is imprinted on my mind lol. brought me so much joy and was the first time I realized that I could be whoever I want, and so could everyone else. I showed the song to my dad when I was in middle school and he loved it so much and over the years he himself has found himself aligning more with the lyrics in the song than with the close mindedness he was used to. And to this day when I do get to see him, we jam tf out to that song and a-lot more Kacey songs. I still love it to this day and I loved listening to your story about it ❤️
