I am late listening to this while getting cavities filled at the dentist. I giggled about the Gabriette Methadone thing. I’m in recovery and methadone is MAT (medically assisted treatment). It’s used for opioid addiction. When someone get clean off opiates (heroin, fentanyl, oxy, etc) they can choose to get on methadone. It helps with opiate withdrawal and blocks from getting high on opioids/opiates. Methadone is very different from Meth. Meth is a stimulant that speeds you up, methadone makes you kind of sluggish and makes people gain weight and sweat alot.

I agree, people want to make mental health issues legitimate and don’t understand opioid dependency is physical and changes your brain chemicals- methadone is a safe way to mitigate that. Do peoole act desperate and fiend-y for methadone? Yes, because it is actively treating that in a safe manner that does not intoxicate and is clean. Like if people don’t take medicine for an illness, then they’re gonna be sick????

i was once in a casual quad situation (two primary couples together, not swinging) and it worked so great! we had so much fun, did some mini travelling together, celebrated two NYEs with each other, all made each other blush and giggle— it was literally perfect. then the other couple broke up (one of them moved to another city) and three of us ended up in a sort of unspoken triad, which worked for like 5 months until it completely fell apart and blew up in flames. throuples are definitely NOT for the weak and require a level of trust and vulnerability amongst everyone at the same time, which isn’t even always necessary in other types of polyam relationships.

Riverdale was like a trashy comfort watch for me and i have watched every episode so to explain the Quad, by the end of the show many characters had been mix and matched in heterosexual couplings as the CW does, but also many had queer moments or had become explicitly bi or fluid, and seemingly only for my enjoyment of this insane show and constant request that shows solve character shipping drama with polyamory - the show has the core 4 realise hey we've all essentially dated each other or each other's partners at some point and we're all hot and love each other lets just all date, with a brief hookup montage of different pairings within the quad and then its implied they secretly are a Quad until they part ways- Riverdale is so bad but season 7 is like another level of insanity and like if fully a hard reset from s1-6, I'm bi and grew up watching telenovelas and the cw so I think it's literally made just for me - (also, i'm pretty sure lili reinhart like lowkey came out after dating cole sprouse Ithink she's bi i've not seen her discuss it much feels kinda channing tatum lowkey bi vibes- i've been rooting for her to do a queer wlw rom com!) also josh o'connor is so good in god's own country, its so sensual, i don't care what his sexuality is, that movie is one of my all time favourite so he keep playing queer men for all I care
