There is a stereotype of women who are bisexual and/or gay allies dating conservative men. My two closest female friends are both dating men who voted for trump. Not a fan of that. I don't really have a "take" on this issue (of course, other than it being devastating and horrific) and since I didn't study and am not well versed in geopolitics/war/genocide I would hate to say something that is wrong about the situation. I've been donating to different GoFundMe campaigns for families and giving money to the PCRF and World Central Kitchen and I'm hopeful that that is helpful to those in need. The only "take" I would really have on this is related to MOSSAD but even that I'm only familiar with in Epstein lore, and not so much as related to Israel.

I think gen z are just younger right now so even the slightest cringe thing is considered monumental. I def remember being embarrassed by the stupidest things when I was younger so I think they will grow out of it for the most part. But it's also different for them. knowing that one viral video could be your downfall is scary lol. People on the internet don't forget and won't let stuff go.

Also I feel like the cringe generational divide is mostly that it used to be that cringe was a feeling but now it’s used as a descriptor. Like when i was in school I remember thinking “that is so cringeworthy” because it was like full body shiver type of feeling but now it’s like “omg that shirt is so cringe” a la the Hilary duff ending homophobia commercial 😂

Okay I’ve heard religious weirdos talking about birth control and IVF for ages but the idea that it’s “sinful” to only have a specific amount of kids is insane to me. Butker seems like the type of person who doesn’t believe in consent 🤢 I also wasn’t shocked by the kelce brothers being very meh about it. They don’t seem well informed to me and I didn’t expect them to be smart 🤣

So I was talking to my gay friend and he made a great point that I had never considered. He said while it is true that some homophobic people have that view bc they themselves are closeted, he personally hates when people say this. Essentially it further demonizes lgbt folks by implying this is just a “gay on gay” problem when in reality there are plenty of bigoted straight people who make gay people’s lives horrible.

I think the thing with gen z is they are at an age when EVERYTHING matters and they think everyone is watching and the world will end. Millenials are entering their thirties, they’re starting families they (hopefully) have gained perspective; they know the world wont end, they understand that no one is paying as much attention to them as they think they are and they can laugh at themselves. We see it now with genz because they are so online, but i think in 5-7 years they will get a grip and understand, as The Great Troy McCeady says, its not that deep
