It seems like Chappell’s underlying point is that parenting doesn’t look appealing to her. Even if it’s based on her own observations of people she knows, I don’t understand why that’s upsetting? It doesn’t invalidate anyone who has kids and loves it. Or has a love/hate relationship with it.

I saw Chappell at my SUPER lowkey neighborhood bar in LA on a random weeknight last month. This place is tiny, lots of regulars, etc. She was sitting at the bar maybe 10ft away from me. At first I wasn’t sure if it was her so I occasionally glanced up from my phone at her (I was there alone eating my burger and watching my show, minding my own business like everybody else). When I tell you miss girl was staring DAGGERS at me locking eye contact every time I glanced in her direction. Her vibe was very much “do we have a problem?” And “I dare you to approach me.” Idk I went back to watching the Crown and a while later she hastily left with her friend that met her there. The bartender told me her friend didn’t have her ID so he said “sorry but I can’t serve you without it” and they both stormed off ANYWAY it just had me thinking “ok so you want to be treated like a normal person but when people do you’re pissed about that too?” When she said her friends tell her she has a “force field” around her so no one approaches her on CHD, I was like ummmm ya thats bc you’re oozing scary/ confrontational/ negative energy 😬 But like I get it, she deserves to feel safe in the world and if that’s how she chooses to go about it, who cares
