Already liked Conan but this made me love him so much more 💕 I will say though, the one joke I rolled my eyes at during the Oscars was the Drake and Kendrick comment. It’s getting really oversaturated and I honestly struggle finding humor in Drake and his pedophilic allegations. Everyone is making light of an abhorrent crime and forgetting how messed up and probably true it is. Lets not forget that Drake has not faced any real consequences. Would love to see more of these predatory celebrities to not only be exposed but to be investigated. Like who was going to Epstein’s island and why are they free to continue their lives without facing any repercussions?!?

This was so great! 🧡 I saw that both of his parents passed away just a few days apart from one another in December. I kept thinking about that (and about his assistant, Sona, losing her home in the Altadena fires—I think Conan is the godfather to her children) when he was hosting the Oscars. Conan4ever.

Interesting point! I agree on the acronyms like I hate how algorithms have people saying SA instead of sexual assault and such. (And my conspiracy brain is like oh they want people to say SA instead to minimize it). Let me ask my sister in law her thoughts on it! For now I’ll replace the acronym CSAM for the words with it in the meantime 👍🏼👍🏼

The problem with this is, pornography assumes the legal involvement of consenting adults. Child sexual abuse material obviously can never be consensual with children involved. That is also to say, not all pornography posted is consensual (as I’m sure you’re aware, Pornhub has posted people’s rapes). I think people need to say Child Sexual Abuse Material in its entirety and not CSAM. I completely understand your argument though and also understand it’s a difficult topic for anyone to discuss

Hey Shannon! Love your episodes so much, thank you for all you do for your shows. Just wanted to share something I heard from 2 federal prosecutors whom I respect greatly. They said that it's important for people refer to child pornography as "child pornography" and not "CSAM". Their reasoning resonated with me so I wanted to share it with you- turning ugly truths into an easily digestible acronym is unhelpful in the fight against child pornograpjy. They said that in court they call it child pornography and not CSAM for this very reason. It's also why I'm so uncomfortable typing it out now so many times! It's too easy to say CSAM and not hear the nasty truth behind the name. This topic should not be easy to talk about is the point of the prosecutors. This is an abhorrent facet of our society and tidying it up with an acronym takes necessary poignancy away from the issue itself. This might not resonate with you but again I just wanted to share! I've heard you correct yourself often and just finally had to say something in case you might agree.
