I have to defend Ben a little. Maybe he isn't a very nice person, and kissing someone else behind Charlie's back is a lousy thing to do. But there's nothing wrong with being in the closet if he feels safer that way. No one should be judging Ben for it or infering he's a bad person because he can't or won't be open about his sexuality. He has to make the right decision for himself. Ben and Charlie are at different stages of coming out, it doesn't make one of them a good person and the other bad. They want and need different things, that's all, and it's making their relationship difficult, if not impossible.
