The conditions out in the 5th ring sound more like serfdom than slavery. I know to Cass and his utopian upbringing they’re the same thing, but you might have another darkies situation with people when this chapter gets to royal road, some people get very loud when slavery is brought up at all

I kind of hope he just tells them he is not there by Choice and that he thinks their city is a dystopia shithole with a ironic name. It’s also ironic that Cass seems to be the only true Questwright in the city.
