🕑 Added 2021-06-21 00:00:03 +0000 UTCThis week I began fleshing out some of the maps that you will explore in chapter 4. The majority of it takes place in the southern wasteland area! Have you been wondering what's beyond there? The area has been sealed off basically since version 1.0. Well, here are a few previews of what to expect:
You may also notice that the poison status effect applies outside of battle now. Unlike vampirism, poison will subside after walking a certain amount of steps, but if it isn't treated, it can kill you outside of battle, leading to a game over. There are 3 levels of poison damage, and the poison pools that scatter this area will inflict the 3rd level of poison on Mila, should you walk into it.
This may change the difficulty of the Lamia quest from a while back too, since they often inflict the poison status. Thankfully, Lamia enemies always drop Antitoxin when defeated and Antitoxin is now also available for purchase in all stores. Speaking of Lamias, the wasteland area is home to more powerful Toxic Lamias, which you can see the sprite of in the first picture.
As a matter of fact, all of the mob enemies in this chapter are a bump up from the usual fodder in terms of attack power, so you should come into this chapter fairly prepared. Ghouls return in their strongest form yet as well as the Nachzehrer enemy type from Bianca's side story. The Vampire Lamias that I mentioned AGES ago will also be introduced later in this chapter. They roam the several cave systems of the wasteland, avoiding the sun and waiting to sneak up on unexpected travelers.

Sorry, I meant the rest of the areas. Like not the main town but the others and the church. But I know thats a lot of programming and time. Just something I wish vampire games implemented. Taking over/dominating.

The second chapter of the vampire route has you taking over a town and converting the townsfolk into either vampires or ghouls.

I was wondering, would it be possible to open up the vampire part some more? Like turning other NPC, taking over some towns? Unless it's available in the current version and I just haven't noticed it?
