News regarding Patreon’s new billing policy.

So from what I understand, Apple is forcing Patreon to have all members change their billing model to be subscription based. Basically this means, instead of being charged on the first of every month, you’ll be charged every month on the same day that you chose to subscribe. Patreon has been pushing this model on creators for a while and since it has been optional I had chosen to opt out of it.
I like knowing when to expect my payment and with this new model, I assume things will be less consistent for me in terms of when I would receive it and confusing on your end when you see a Patreon charge in the middle of the month (multiple if you subscribe to others).
So yeah, I’m not a fan of this change. I think it’s bad for everyone honestly, but I don’t have much of a choice to delay it further. So, I wanted to let you know that I’ll be changing to this new subscription model starting in November, once the new policies are forced to go into effect. I want to apologize for any inconveniences this may cause you and should you decide to leave, I greatly appreciate any support you have provided and hope you will continue to stay up to date with the game’s progress.

I think the only that should change for you is when you receive your monthly charge. If you never subscribed through ios, you should be fine.

not only are they changing to that model, Apple now also takes 30% off anyone subbed per their app apparently. So if you want your money to go to MKRU instead of Apple, choose a different method to sub.

I think it only affects new patrons, so if we stay subbed it won’t affect us but if we leave and rejoin it would

It really on changes when you get charged, unless you subscribed through the ios App, in which case, Apple is taking a 30% cut, so maybe just subscribe through your web browser if you use an iphone. And I assume that what I get payed in November/December and rebound in January. I honestly am not sure what’s going to happen and I’m pretty worried.

Does it really change anything, we will pay not together at the same time, but for you it wouldn't change anything, it would be a nightmare for patron to charge you multiple times a month because no one pay at the same time.
