For dramas, I'd also recommend The Departed and Sicario (though both are fairly recent, and you might have seen them).

I watch Green Mile and Shawshank every time I run across them. Director Frank Darabont is a genius! He also made the mist and the first couple seasons of the walking dead. All incredible

Really want to vote for the Godfather, but afraid that will increase Fight Club's chances. Fight Club is super-pretty, but I think it's a bit overrated. And I don't think David Fincher likes people that much.

Fight Club is the better film out of all of those, but if you've already seen it. You must have been young though.

You honestly cannot go wrong with any of these films and you should watch all of them. My favorite is The Godfather and it was my pick, but I switched it to Fight Club because I think it is a great film and I wanted to give it a fighting chance. While I like The Shawshank Redemption, I do feel it has become a bit overrated. That does not mean it is not an excellent film deserving of heaps of praise for what it does so well, I just feel that people hold it in too high of a regard.

Green Mile is one of my favourite movies ever. But then again, so is Goodfellas and Shawshank lol. Green Mile though, it's just magical. One of the few movies that no matter how many times I see it, I can't help crying like a baby multiple times lol. Hope it gets reacted to at some point
