I love an Officer and a Gentleman - it's kind of a romance, coming of age, rags to riches, drama, almost-war movie.

There's a romance there, but I'd argue that it's drama with a romantic subplot. You could take the romance out and it would still stand on its own because the central plot isn't about Gere and Winger having a happily-ever-after but Gere overcoming his own mental hang-ups.

Children of Men is in my top 5 all time favorites! We have seen The Social Network, but I don't think Spotlight or Her! I'll have to check with TBR Schmitt on those, but I haven't seen them :) -Sam

I suggest The Station Agent (2003) Peter Dinklage, Bobby Cannavale, Patricia Clarkson, and Michelle Williams. Quiet, charming little movie.

Primal Fear would make a wonderful Drama Movie reaction for you guys in the future. Despite the title it's not a horror flick, it's a courtroom/legal/mystery drama
