Ken Veader

ally want to see you guys react to Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Hope it makes another pole

christopher brown

Dredd (2012)

Nick of Time

I definitely hope you all get into the works of David Lynch, but I don’t know if Mullholland Drive is the best place to begin that journey. Perhaps Twin Peaks could be one of the next TV series you watch. It’s fantastic and a great introduction to David Lynch. There are only 7 episodes in the first season so it’s a relatively small commitment getting started. Then there are two more full-length seasons with a prequel/sequel film in-between them.

Ricardo

I suggest Forrest Gump

Neal Romanek

Another great drama suggestion for you: The Natural (1984)

Tyler Foster

100% to Do the Right Thing.

Mike Tocci

12 Angry Men had a masterful script. Paddy Chayefsky's writing was compelling and sometimes heartbreaking without ever seeming weak or being pretentious. Fonda, Klugman, Scott, etc. were all such great actors and to see them together in that film is an experience every movie lover should check out.

Arki Kali

Thanks! And totally agree about Rob Roy. Some of the most realistic swordplay in Hollywood (in my unprofessional opinion), and Tim Roth's portrayal of Archibald is totally on-point. One of the best villains ever (and by villain I mean person you hate with blinding heat).

Neal Romanek

And Do The Right Thing. You should definitely see Do The Right Thing.

Neal Romanek

12 Angry Men. I think you'd love it.

Neal Romanek

Both of those are great. Rob Roy also has some amazing dueling scenes.

Pudungurte

It really is a shame that there aren’t more reaction videos to Mulholland Drive out there. It’s a movie that suits the format incredibly well imo.

TBR Schmitt

Agreed! It sounds like The Godfather is going to be incredible. Can't wait! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Yes! An Office & A Gentleman are on the list! I had them on the poll with a few others, but we decided to consolidate the list a little so it wasn't too many options. It'll make it up on a poll soon :) Thank you for the recommendation for Rob Roy as well! I don't think either of us have seen it. -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Haha! So many great movies to watch! We'll do our best to get to them all. -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Comments just like this help us to either just pull movies right off for the channel and onto the schedule or we can consider different types of polls so we're giving all these films a chance :) so thank you! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Thank you for the recommendations, Nathan! Let's see, we have seen and loved Sully & Sicario! I haven't seen Pleasantville or Unbroken, and I will check with TBR Schmitt on those! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Haha it'll make it to the channel eventually, even if it doesn't win this time! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Thank you for the recommendation, Lee! I have not seen One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest! I'll check with TBR Schmitt, if he's seen it :) -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Haha! It is totally a stressful movie. I remember watching it as a kid too! Such a fantastic and re-watchable film. Always love a good Bill Paxton movie! -Sam

Mike Tocci

That's a great one. So many, many others too.

Mike Tocci

Other than The Godfather it's the best on the poll.

Mike Tocci

Good point and a reason I don't love the whole polling system. It's fun to relive some classics but there's something to be said for discovering something different.

Mike Tocci

The Godfather is an all time classic. Bot just because it's so well regarded but because it's actually great. Sometimes "classics" can be over valued and sentimentalized but Godfather is a truly great film in just about every facet. Directing, writing and acting all stand out as amazing and the film holds up to repeat viewings. There's always something new to consider.

Arki Kali

For drama, I'd love to see you react to either An Officer and a Gentleman or Rob Roy. :-)

Neal Romanek

The Hustler is one of the best.

Neal Romanek

Whoa! That's like working with one of the original Knights Of The Round Table!

Jason Dolan

I'll be the only person to vote for MANCHESTER BY THE SEA, I don't care. But obviously THE GODFATHER has to win this. I like that A FEW GOOD MEN is making a showing.

Jimmie V

Man, arthouse films like Mulholland Drive aren't going to do well in polls when they're pitted up against traditional Hollywood drama, but hopefully you'll get to it one day.

Brandon Royce

Wow, this poll has some heavy hitters! If Scent of a Woman wasn't on this list, I would have a hard time choosing.

no taeyoung

I also agree with A League of Their Own, perfect movie. If you haven’t seen Sully, Sicario, Pleasantville, or Unbroken I would highly recommend.

Sean McDonough

I second One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.

Sean McDonough

It would be a crime not to do The Godfather.

WhitneyG

Yay! I’m glad you liked it too. I used to hide the vhs tape of Twister from my parents when I was a kid because it scared me so much then 😆 but as I got older I learned to love it and quote it often!

James Willingham III

Thanks Sam! John Dykstra (the vfx supe) was hilarious. Old school VFX legend. Worked on the original Star Wars and Star Trek films.

James Willingham III

A League of their Own is a perfect movie

Lee Brennan

Godfather is iconic and a given, but I voted for 'Dead Poets Society'. Such a beautiful and emotional film with fantastic performances by all involved. Not sure if you guys have seen 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest' starring Jack Nicholson, but that would be so good to see on a future poll <3

TBR Schmitt

Thank you for the recommendation, Whitney! I've only seen (and loved) Twister from your list. I'll check with TBR Schmitt on what he's seen! Last Action Hero is definitely coming on our Arnold list :) -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Thank you for the recommendation, Mitchell! We are interested in all eras! I've been personally loving the 80s, but we'd love to branch out. -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Thank you for the recommendations, Chelsea! I'll have to check with TBR Schmitt for which he's seen, but I've only seen The Sandlot and the Ocean's Eleven Trilogy! -Sam

WhitneyG

The Prestige is a good mystery drama. More good dramas I grew up with you guys might like: Twister, A League of Their Own, The Fugitive, Last Action Hero (another great Arnold movie), That Thing You Do (technically a comedy/drama)

TBR Schmitt

That's awesome! Looks like there's a ton of big names in that film! -Sam

Mitchell Smilie

If you guys have any interest in watching films from the "golden age of hollywood", I'd like to recommend many. For starters: The Hustler (1961). Stars Paul Newman, Jackie Gleason, Piper Laurie and George C. Scott.

Foggy

Movie suggestions: Almost Famous, The Sandlot, Selena, Wayne’s World, Bad Boys Trilogy, A League of Their Own, Little Shop of Horrors, Ocean’s Eleven Trilogy

James Willingham III

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood! Nice. I worked on that film. =) I designed and animated the previs for the drive in shot.
