I'm late to the party, but if it helps anybody in the future, this is the unrated version. So juicy.

Great reaction to one of my most watched childhood movies. Yeeeah, I was one of those kids that watched violent action movies a lot! Robocop 2 is every bit as good as the first one in my opinion, but I'd stop after that.

It'd be funny if Weller noticed and said in a robotic voice "You are in emotional distress, I will notify the appropriate therapy service".

An absolute classic 80s film!

I went to Dallas for the 30th anniversary of this film in 2017. Sci Fi channel put on an event where they showed the film at the city government building, which was used in the film as OCP headquarters. Peter Weller was there, and I brought my ROBOCOP Criterion laserdisc with me in hopes he would sign it. But I ended up being too chickenshit to walk up to him and ask for his signature.

I really want to watch Starship Troopers myself but I’m waiting for the reaction video

He totally does have a unique style! We loved Robocop and Total Recall, so so excited to see Starship Troopers! -sam

Thank you so much for the kind words, Aimee! I feel the same about Kindergarten Cop! I mean much less gruesome than this, but I swear I only saw the TV version until we watched it last week lol Starship Troopers coming this week as well! -Sam

Yikes! Bobby never stood a chance! -Sam

Thank you so much! We had a lot of fun with this one :) That TV show was just awful haha we'll have to check out Robocop 2 then! -Sam

Yeah, Starship Troopers coming! :D Verhoeven has his unique style. Even colors are a bit muted to create this strange dystopian feel. And gruesome gunshots :D

Agreed. #2 is worth a watch but the original is by far the strongest. #3 is a pile of shit and the remake missed the mark in a huge way.

Growing up, we would record movies from television onto VHS (yep, I’m that old 😆) and that’s the only version I’d seen until about ten years ago. Needless to say, I was shocked at the Murphy death scene. Holy moly. That scene was about five seconds long when it aired on ‘80s TV. I love y’all’s reactions. Of all the reaction channels I support, y’all’s would be one of the last two I would give up if my financial situation changed. Seeing these movies that I watched as a child being watched for the first time through the eyes of adults always gives me a fresh perspective on them, and y’all always make points that I’ve never thought of before. Looking forward to Starship Troopers when y’all get to it!

"Bitches leave" Red Foreman 1987

Now you know where Red Foreman learned to be a hard ass.

After ED209 annihilates Kinny. TBR: "That was insanely gruesome." Me: Sits back and waits for the Peter Weller scene.
Christopher Plucinski
This movie brings back a ton of forgotten memories for me, like seeing this at a way to young age to be watching it and being totally traumatized by Murphy getting blasted apart lol I remember when I first seen him stab Red in the neck with that spike, out loud I said "oh he wolverined him" lol

That's life in the big city. "Ugh, dangit!! Stupid directive 3!" lmfao "Yeah, I think Bob was just kind of... like, a douche" rofl. You guys killed this reaction! Couple things: Yes, the "TV show" in the movie was created just for the movie. I don't think the authors of the screenplay held network television in very high regard :) And, yeah, Sam was right about Bob's strategy to get the right cop for his project. He mentioned to the big president that he had already identified candidates he was interested in and had taken measures to move the process along. At the beginning of the movie, Murphy says that OCP ordered him transferred to this new district (which just so happens to be a warzone.) So this suggests that his brain is somewhat intact. Finally, Robocop 2 is not as good as the original but it's worth watching eventually (no rush.) The rest of the sequels and the remake are best avoided.

I BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR!
