Two of my favorite characters in any movies ever are Bruce Willis' Butch in 'Pulp Fiction' and Harvey Keitel's Mr. White in "Reservoir Dogs". If Keitel never acted in another film, I'd always be a big fan from this one performance.

Steven Montano

And now at long last we'll find out what Like A Virgin is really about...

Joseph Tamburo

It can't be Saturday soon enough. Hoping RD goes up early like LA Confidential did last week.

Jonathan Patrick

I just wish the funeral scene in the directors cut was in the original. If only.

Alex

I second that. American Ninja. Awesome movie. There are also sequels, which I've never seen!

Donna Castellano

I may have to check out the DC of Rocky 4. Rewatched it for the first time in maybe 15 years a few months ago. Eh. The nostalgia goggles were on tight. Seeing a better cut might fix that.

Alex

You would love Buffy the Vampire Slayer then, and Angel that is another series that is kind of intertwined. Has a lot of comedy, action martial arts. I think Daniel will love it too. Some of the stuff is pretty crazy but after seeing that he loved the magic in Big Trouble in Little China I think he'll definitely love it. Guarantee you guys won't regret it :)

TBR Schmitt

Thank you so much, Donna! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Yay! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Agreed! Can't wait to see what they have in store, the show is so great! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Se7en will be the week of the 20th! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Haha! Thanks, Duncan! Daniel is working on the full lengths of Cobra Kai as we speak :) -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Yay! Thanks, Mike! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Haha thank you! We try to keep an even flow of recommendations and polls! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Yay thank you! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

I did! I watched it I think in college :) -Sam

Jim Tatro

I will never hear Stuck In the Middle with You on the radio again without thinking about this movie…..Mr. Blonde is one sick puppy.

Donna Castellano

All right. More CK AND we’re starting the Tarantino journey. Y’all are probably my favorite reaction channel for the variety and quality of content.

Nick of Time

The big difference between watching those two films is how you remember them later. Remembering “Reservoir Dogs” makes me smile. It makes me think of the characters, the dialogue, the tension, the laughs, the shocks, the twists and revelations. … Remembering “Se7en” does none of that; it just makes me feel ill.

Jeff Mills

My favorite episode of "Cobra Kai" in Season 1 besides Episode 10 was Episode 5. I LOVE how they brought Mr. Miyagi back in flashbacks and that scene at the cemetery killed me. I really like and respect how the show pays homage to Pat Morita and the character in an honorable way. It doesn't tread on his memory nor does it exploit it. He is sorely missed, but it's nice how the show pays tribute to him and the character.

Jeff Mills

Awesome! I would definitely watch the "Director's Cut" after seeing the theatrical version. Maybe after you've watched all of the "Rocky" movies.

Alex

You mentioned Vampire Diaries once.. did you like that show?

f hf

I thought Se7en was gonna be this week but I'll gladly take Reservoir Dogs lol

Andrew

Yet another epic week on the cards 🙌 super looking forward to Cobra Kai ,Rocky and Tarantino TBR and Sam,please give yourselves a promotion and a raise for your excellent efforts 🤝👏

Florian Meier

I also love Harvey Keitel in Reservoir Dogs !! You must put "Head Above Water" From 1996 to your Watchlist !! Very Dark Comedy with Cameron Diaz and Billy Zane as Co Stars !!! Also Great is "Thelma & Louis" from 1991 !!! Absolut Cult Classic with a Great Geena Davies and Susan Sarandon !!!

Florian Meier

Yes !! I love Rocky 3 !! Maybe one of the best intro's of all time !! I like Reservoir Dogs, Especially the scene with Michael Madsen ;)

Mike Tocci

Cobra Kai continues plus two great movies. Good stuff this week!

Future Boy

I haven't seen Reacher yet, but very excited for everything else! One of the best things about a channel not having polls dominate their choices is that you get random surprises like Reservoir Dogs popping up out of nowhere!

Future Boy

I say this whenever it comes up: For someone watching them for the first time, in quick succession, I highly recommend the director's cut. Objectively it's just better. With no nostalgia attached, watching the original version just means choosing to watch an inferior film. Rotten Tomatoes has the original at 38%, while the director's cut is 80%. That's a fair assessment. One really is twice as good as the other. Rocky 4 is my favourite, whichever version, so I have no vendetta against the original. I just think it's crazy to choose to lessen the whole Rocky experience when there's a better option available.

Alfredo Ordonez

First time commenting love reaction to cobra Kai and can't for more of the Rocky series as well

TBR Schmitt

It is on our list! We still have a good amount of Stallone to get through after Rocky/Creed! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

The tv show? YES! One of the few shows I’ve watched a couple times through 😊 -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Uh oh 😳 -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Good to hear! I’m glad you enjoyed it! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Yay thank you!

TBR Schmitt

Thank you for the tip, Jeff! I think the consensus for our patrons is to do the original Rocky IV!

AC Malin

I THINK they have done that one. I may be mistaken.

Mr. Writhms

I’d say there is one stand-alone Stallone movie you overlooked. Though it has low scoring reviews, it is still a very entertaining sci- fi/action cheesy guilty pleasure, IMO. If you liked “Demolition Man”, you will like “Judge Dredd” (1995).

Alex

Have you guys seen The Office?

Alex

I agree, and I think that's what they're gonna do. I read about the director's cut and there's a lot of stuff removed that IMO was iconic for 80s movies.

Shehab Dawoud

Nice! Looking forward to Reservoir Dogs and Sam's reaction to one particular scene. You know which one.

Mr. Writhms

HA! This is perfect! I just finished "Reacher". It was really good. It will be interesting to see your reaction. 👍 They got that character right this time. Tom Cruise as Reacher was like Micheal Cera playing Iron Man. 😄

Mark M

Yes! Another fantastic week of reactions!!!

Jeff Mills

You're both going to LOVE "Rocky III". It's pretty intense, similar to "Rocky II", but different. When you get to "Rocky IV", I would recommend watching the theatrical version first, then watch the director's cut "Rocky v Drago". I just watched "Rocky v Drago" last weekend and it's good, but I prefer the theatrical version from 1985.
