Malcolm McDowell was cast in A Clockwork Orange because of his appearance in If.
Neal Romanek
Because it is the best movie of all the movies.
Neal Romanek
Amazing!!! This is a classic and influenced so many movies. It's crazy and fun and frightening and disurbing and holy cow. Thanks so much.
David Wilkins
That’s a unique choice, and I look forward to seeing the reaction. Haven’t watched it in many years.

I’m creating a movie for my drawing and I’m going on the animation of my drawing for my next project I want to make it for the teens so I’ll send a message about how children need something like this to make them happy so they can be happy
iliketostayhome
Can't wait to see it, Kevin. I've heard it's "transformative".

Come see my movie drawing with computer animation it’s all animated feature film including live action and animation of my movie it’s all in an animated series and animated short films and it’s really good to watch it on your computer screen it’s really great to watch it on your laptop or computer or tablet or your phone or your YouTube channel or whatever you want to watch it on your iPad or your television you are going to get a sneak peek preview on the behind the scenes look at my movie it’s really cool it’s a lot more realistic it’s way better than what you watch in theaters but this’ll change your life forever

if.... is great, but I love O Lucky Man even more. Amazing episodic epic film with a wonderful nod to if....

Great Movie congrats, iliketostayathome

I've never seen If, but I've heard good things about it. My nomination for the monthly Schmitthead poll remains Network (1976).

If you grew up going to a posh school in the UK (as I am ashamed to say I did, essentially squandering a huge amount of my parent's money on an education I wasn't interested in and scraping by doing the bare minimum, I hated the ****ing place) "If . . ." is revelatory. It sums so much up about those institutions. It's weird, and dark, and funny, and traumatic, and off putting, and seductive, and ultimately deeply deeply shocking). Mick Travis is Cinema's most overlooked icon.
iliketostayhome
what's all this then
Tay Schumaker
Good choice, I've tried to suggest it other places but it never gets any traction. Some of the best cinematography ever put on film, and some amazing performances. I get why it's maybe not the best reaction bait, but it's so good and flies under the radar so much
Paul Cox
Hoopla is definitely more hit and miss.
Tyler Foster
please, Mr. Stay Home is my father, call me ILikeTo
Tyler Foster
Obviously, there are some things that are being suggested that I'm not a fan of or not interested in, but I really think that of all the reaction channels, Dan and Sam have cultivated one of the most film-literate audiences around. The suggestions in those monthly posts are almost always remarkably varied and filled with great deep cuts.
Tyler Foster
Kanopy is good but I have heard Hoopla does not have great image quality. In any case, it is in fact available on Amazon digitally, which I think would be best (although you may have to go through JustWatch to bring it up).
Paul Cox
Also, if you're in the US and your library is affiliated with Kanopy and/or Hoopla, it's on both services.

FYI this is free on dailymotion

Wow, we're getting some deep cuts! nice get stuff like this and 3 Women once in a while.
Tyler Foster
Only three spots off...argh...the agony...but also, congratulations to iliketostayhome!
YoureMrLebowski
there is ONE other reaction on youtube. and there is a reactor that watched the movie but didn't release a YouTube version. so now there are three in the entire world! the ending, with Song for Bob playing, just heartbreaking.
Paul Cox
I had to dig back to see if they'd reacted to A Clockwork Orange (I couldn't remember because I hate that movie), but I'm super looking forward to If... great pick, iliketostayhome!
Garry L
I am totally biased as it was my choice but agreed, it is criminally unwatched in the Reaction-verse
Garry L
Super interesting choice! This is what’s great about the monthly drawing.
Guston Zimasheen
Congratulations Iliketostayhome. Great choice. Will be good to see Malcolm McDowell again on this channel.

Damn, what a selection! I haven't seen this one in over a decade, but I can't wait for the reaction
Tay Schumaker
Oh man had no idea that Assassination of Jesse James was coming up. One of my all time favorite movies and I've been hoping someone would react to it someday. Joined at a good time
Samolina Pilchard
Wow... If... Malcom McDowell before A Clockwork Orange.. First of a trilogy of movies he made with director Lindsay Anderson. Should be a great reaction!.
Marcus Cato
Mad respect to the person that chose this movie. I doubt anyone would ever react to it otherwise.

If.... (1968) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0063850/

'if' is great, well worth a watch
Chris Bruneau
