2023 Week 52 Poll: Christmas Movie Poll!!!
🕑 Added 2023-12-04 16:56:50 +0000 UTCWhat is up, peeps! It's time for holiday season, which means picking a Christmas movie for J. Jus know, Christmas movies are not that plentiful (he's seen quite a few popular ones), so the choices were somewhat limited. But, we still got some good options here. This will be for the Friday right before Christmas, and will be joining a few other selected Xmas comedies, so let's see what you all want to cap off the Christmas week with. Just know, Christas Vacation is coming on Christmas Day, which is the only reason it's not on the poll. J wanted to do it on Christmas, so that's what we're doing. So get those votes in and let's get a winner!

Fun fact you may or may not know. A Christmas Horror Story's segments take place in a small Canadian town called Bailey Downs. The same town where Ginger Snaps took place. (A very underrated and original werewolf movie series.)

A Christmas Horror Story is pretty sweet. I think I liked it more than Krampus

Oh, Black Christmas is coming for Slasher Saturday just before Christmas. He'a actually watched Krampus for patreon (did it last Christmas, just have to edit it eventually), and def have Fatman on the list. This is the time of year where YT ad value is highest, so we just try to stick to as many sure hits as we can. But def gonna get to it eventually.

Scrooged all day from the choices.(Dark and funny. Would NEVER be made today. Just another reason to love it.) However , I was hoping for some non-traditional Christmas movies. Die Hard 1 &2 are easy , as is Lethal Weapon. But Fatman w/ Mel Gibson is so damn underrated. IMO. Krampus and A Christmas Horror Story would be great if there is a slot on Saturday's Unless J has never seen Black Christmas (1974) Directed by Bob (A Christmas Story) Clark , Staring Olivia Hussey , Margot Kidder and John Saxon. That one scared the shit outa me when I saw it the first time. (And for many years after. It is still creepy to me with the camera work and the Nasty Billy character.) Oh , only the '74 version...I tried the remakes and I have nothing to say about them besides the fact I watched them.

Blank...*should* Scrooged win, please try to include (nothing spoiled here, fam) Bill's last line. I've seen several reactions and they ALL miss that line. If you don't recall it, you'll know why I say this when you watch it again.

Where's Miracle on 34th Street- the original? or movies with the reason for the Season. /sadface Gotta go with A Christmas Carol- 1 of the few movies I watch each year though i normally go with the one with Patrick Stewart. The Muppets and the one with George C Scott are both good movies.
Goofaman
Yes! Scrooged leads. Great movie.
CP
Go with Arnold. I don't even consider Edward Scissorhands a Christmas movie.

There's a pretty good reason it's not here. LoL

I would have loved to have seen It's A Wonderful Life (1946) on this poll (unless J has already seen it) as well as Scrooge (1970) which is an Albert Finney musical and my favorite version of the story of Ebenezer Scrooge. :)
