It was an awesome start because I had lots of fun watching it. Making one's life look as if it was a game is a superb idea! It really contributed to give the "comedy touch".
At first, I thought it was just a special power some people had, but no: everyone was part of the Sims + Mario Battle worlds π

Always a fun movie, knew you would like it. IIRC there was an ending where Scott ended up with Knives, but people didn't like it. I kind of agree with you here - Knives is a way better girlfriend, but Scott doesn't deserve her :) Just remember about the Power of Self-Respect next time you play Dark Souls! Sending lesbians your way :P
