The heated suction table is an invaluable piece of kit that allows the even and precise application of heat and pressure to a painting that can be used in many different treatments. After moving to a new studio and the failure of his nearly 40-year old table, armed with an intimate understanding of the workings of the old table after reverse engineering it for repair, Julian embarked upon building a new larger table. At 10' x 7' this massive table will allow the treatments of large-scale works that was impossible before.
