Love the two parasites on the one member~ little double team on the host while she breeds is always nice

Photographer notes: While photographing notice how the host went back to a previously used partner. Possibility that the parasites have altered the host to also change potential brood mothers the increase in size is to prepare the future brood mother for large clutches. Ah well I'm not the scientist I just snap the photos.

Because the parasites try to exploit their captured victims to the utmost, it is difficult to bring the altered beings back for examination.

These monsters themselves can be described as mutational aberrations, and discerning their intentions or the reasons behind their existence is exceedingly difficult…

One hypothetsis: The alterations to the host aren't just for the parasites to utilize like this - altering its hosts the way this parasite prefers to may alter the host's offspring as well. This could be one step in a larger life cycle. It's a shame it's so hard to retrieve subjects once they've been parasitized. We'll have to settle for observing from a distance.

Admittedly this looks very painful. More importantly I don't see how this helps the parasites much. This can lead to reproducing obviously, but part of me still wants to be sure that the parasites are there for a reason even if its just a mistake or a mutation.
