Charge Upfront Activated!
🕑 Added 2016-10-13 21:08:26 +0000 UTC Hey all!Good news! Patreon heard my cries and added us to the beta for their new charge upfront feature. This means that patrons can now get instant access to digital rewards via the Patreon feed. Here's the way it works:
- New patrons are charged immediately for their pledges, allowing them access to the feed to download their rewards.
- If an existing patron increases their pledge, then they are immediately charged the difference from their existing pledge and their new one. This gives them immediate access to the tier reward they upgraded to.
- If an existing patron decreases their pledge then they are not charged anything, but will then only have access to their reduced reward tier's rewards.
In general this makes the Patreon model much more secure, since people can no longer "sample" content and then bail without fulfilling their pledge. It also means I have to do much less legwork in getting digital rewards out to patrons, freeing up more time for development.
I've uploaded the reward posts containing download links, so if you haven't gotten yours yet then you can find them below! They will always be posted on the 'Overview' page of the campaign, as well as linked to in the 'Featured Tags' section on the left side of the page.

They were in the early versions of the game before much of the story was really written (V0.01 and V0.02). You can find these versions on the $3 reward page :D. You can also play the V0.01/V0.02 scenario in V0.03 (which actually has a decent battle interface) by selecting it from a menu that appears after you select 'New Game'.
Got a question. Im a $5 patron and played through latest version and checked out artwork. Are splicers implemented into actual gameplay yet. If so where?

Yep, it's 1GB. It will probably get separated into multiple PDFs soon.
Sorry for asking, I seem to be the only person who's having issues... But when I click the $5 Reward Download (I'm a $10 contributor btw), I get pushed to a Mega link with a 1gb download? Is the artwork 1GB? I mean I don't have any data caps or what, but just found it a little too large to be artwork... Or am I wrong? And the file says Malise and the Machine…s V0_05.zip anyway... But ok I'll let it complete and see what's in the zip file. :)
