XXXIV May 2022 Progress Update

I had hoped to have this update out at the usual time during the first half of the month, but I've just now gotten the chance over the last couple of days to process Olga's renders :D.

On the plus side, Penapsquat and I finished the conversion of the Vioreaper H scene to FemCop this month, which you can check out now in the Pure Onyx mid-month release, but will also be available in a few days in the end-of-month release.
Aside from Olga, we also have progress to show on tentacles for Tifa's scene ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). A double bonus is that the work on tentacle rigs will help a lot on two upcoming PO enemies: the Mimic and Brute (since he has a that tentacle face thing going on).
Olga Sculpt Completed!
Demonu and Kame have completed Olga's sculpt! As with Tifa, Kame posed her sculpt and provided some renders for me to process. TK will begin rigging her probably after he finishes the Splicer Brute, which he started on recently ^-^.
Kame has prepared a turntable animation of the model as well :D.
Tentacle Rig WIP
Kame modeled a bunch of different tentacle varieties this month, and TK has done a few different sets of experiments for rigging them. What we are leaning toward is making a generic all-purpose tentacle rig (shown above) that can be used for either waving around chaotically or for thrusting, and then custom rigs for more complex props. The nice is thing is TK can draw a curve in Maya to match the geometry of the tentacle, and generate a rig using his script in a single click.

Man, that is a nice sculpt. In my dreams, I can imagine getting one. Until then, I will just have to admire what comes out!
Rather than coming up with something new, I wish you could just finish what you haven't finished fixing yet.

It would take quite a bit of work to make it 3D printable. It's something I'd like to investigate in the future though :D
