Wheel Menu Alpha 0.0.2
🕑 Added 2023-06-03 19:19:40 +0000 UTCHello people! Here it is, there alpha version of the wheel menu.
Currently the menu only supports weapons, spells, and powers. I'll add potion , poison, and ammo support soon.
Controls: Current controls are hardcoded and I will make a new control module soon after taking a short break from skyrim modding.
While in game:
caps lock/left trigger : toggle wheel
lmb/rmb/rs/ls: equip/use item to right/left hand
mouse wheel up/down & dpad left/right : switch between items in a wheel slot
Q/E: switch between wheels(mkb)
Right trigger: cycle between wheels(gamepad)
While in inventory/magic menu
caps lock/left trigger: toggle wheel in edit mode, the background should grey out.
lmb/rs: insert currently hovered item(in either inventory or magic menu) into the slot.
keyboard key N: create a new wheel
keyboard key M: create a new entry in the current wheel
rmb/ls: delete an item from the currently hovered slot, if the slot is empty, delete the slot. if the wheel is empty, delete the wheel.
In addition, you can use dMenu in my previous post to configure the layout/coloring/textsize, etc... of the wheel. I made my configuration based on 1080p gameplay so you might want to change that.
For people who'd like to use their own font:
in SKSE\Plugins\wheeler\resources\fonts, open fontConfig.ini and set the language to your desired one, and drag the .ttf font file into the corresponding folder. If you use utf-8 fonts(Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Cyrillic), you must make sure at least one .ttf file is present in the respective font folder.

It hasn't happened since, I posted this but, I died while using shadows of Skyrim and it forced dropped my bow because it's the death mechanic (deactivating the weapon drop on the mod doesn't affect bows for some reason) on respawn I attempted to open my wheel and I ctd. I don't have access to my CPU ATM

Thanks for the feedback. Could you provide a detailed set of steps to reproduce this error, so I can look into this and maybe fix it myself?

Could you elaborate on the issue? does it ctd all the time? what's the item being hovered on? Are you on SE or AE?

Absolutely:) The goal is to replace all functionalities favorites has(currently you can't use scrolls/torches etc so i'm keeping it). Once the wheel is as capable as the favorites i will make that an option.

As a gamepad user, I would really enjoy a version of this that replaces the favirotes menu completly. Can't use this with pad at all as is without a button remap feature. But very much appreciated. Thank you for the hard work.
When opening inventory and pressing wheel hotkey, my game ctd. What am I doing wrong?

It's working perfectly with SkyrimSE1.5.97. Japanese is also displayed without problems. This mod is revolutionary. Thank you so much for making this mod! I'm really looking forward to the appearance of keymapping. * I wrote a comment with Google Translate.
love the mod and when it gets ironed out its a must have mod. But for now when i start a new game it works almost perfectly (no shield support yet i'm assuming) and after awhile into the new file, opening the wheel menu crashes the game i'm not sure why. Edit: seems to connected with bows. (there's times i cant even equip them but can assign them.) dropping equipment while its assigned seems to be the breaking point on it. only way this happened was dying in the mod "shadows of skyrim" dying with the mod active drops equipment thus breaking the wheel mod.

I found the mod light, beautiful and super efficient I play on an xbox one controller and every time I press the left trigger of the left hand attack it opens the wheel, would I be able to remap this wheel activation key so that this does not happen ?

Seems not to work for me. I get into edit mode but cant create a new wheel. Or am i missing requirements?

Awesome mod. When you get to implement the control module, it'd be nice to have the option to completely replace the base game's favorites (Q) with this. But even in the current state it's awesome. Thanks :)
