It seemed like a lot of the discussion focused on Shaidar Haran and whether it was problematic to introduce convenient new powers for him, but my reading was always that it was Elza who actually takes out the three Aes Sedai and steals the Domination Band. And that S.H. is only there to talk/scare the heck out of Semirhage. If you read it this way there is no Deus Ex problem and it's actually the culmination of the Elza betrayal that has been building up for a few books now. I could of course be wrong.

Nice! Paralys Net: (background info, not spoiler.) The Age of Legends name for a sort of meta-ter'angreal consisting of many different minor but complimentary items... Cadsuane's is from a lifetime of hunting male channelers. Nynaeve has a more haphazard one made from the almost-half-dozen or treasure troves she's had a chance to sample from. A Net and a good Angreal are the "full set of PC gear" the Forsaken are constantly wishing they could put together. Anyway... this was maybe the most emotionally brutal chapter in the series for me.
