This was a show I started watching just to see why everyone liked it. I was very frustrated by how silly it can be and how much an idiot Luffy is 99.9% of the time. Then stuff happened and I was crying my eyes out and somehow it's found a special place in my heart. Im excited to watch this show again with you.

Brave sailor. I tapped out on One Piece at the end of the first act of the Wano Kuni Arc. Oda could craft some amazing moments but I don’t love the characters enough to tolerate the side quest story structure indefinitely. There’s a great story buried in all those chapters and episodes but it’s been so stretched out the payoff can’t possibly live up to its own unwieldy expectations imo. That’s if oda doesn’t change their mind and stretch it out for another decade. Good luck and happy watching. The manga might finish before you catch up…or not.
