Taravangian is maybe the most fascinating character in the Stormlight Archives, at least in my opinion. I like other character's more, but there is such meat to all the things you can discuss around him.

So the beauty of the Tarvangian system is if you've got a party with you and you rest before the final boss and then roll a "1" for intelligence, then you just hang out for another 24 hour cycle. Bring extra food and plan around it. The problem is unexpected events and ambushes like Szeth showing up.

If you look at a map of Roshar, Jah Keved is a noticeably bigger Kingdom than Karbranth. Taravangian's policy of assassination, chaos and then charity seems to be paying off very well.

Taravangian also sometimes says he'll beat medicare and sometimes says they're eating the pets, but also sometimes stops the Cuban missile crisis.

Taravangian is a crazy character because he's basically the most neuro-divergent character ever written that I've read, and he's a king. The particular type and level of neuro-divergent changes every day. That must be a lot to keep up with lol.

I'm gonna have to disagree with nerdy about intelligence being fixation. I've met plenty of people who have one but not the other or both or neither. They can both lead to you knowing things, but it is noticeably different.
