I guess you could say that Luffy takes all the outcasts in his crew: - Zoro, a pirate hunter who just wanted to do everything alone - Nami, a thief who protected her village on her own - Usopp, a liar who everybody was annoyed about - Sanji, a chef who had different principles than the rest of the Baratie and kept on getting into fights - Chopper, a reindeer that wasn't accepted by his herd or the people of the island after eating the devil fruit - Robin, a person hunted down by the government since childhood (more details you will soon find out)
