Wayne is a Kleptomaniac, Wax at least gets him to trade for what he takes. It’s also why we don’t see Wayne sell what he takes. It’s not stealing if it’s a trade, even if the trade isn’t of equal value. And just like a klepto, is only little things that he impulsively takes.

One of my favorite aspects of this book is how Wayne steals dialects. The narrator does a good job of changing accents when Wayne does.

When I first heard Waynes story, I thought to myself first thing "I was wondering why Wax tolerates his trades" He tolerates it because it's Wayne HOLDING BACK as he tries to help the world around him after Wax's mercy. He knows what he did and accepts the consequences for that readily.
