While I like that you’re reviewing the show critically, I think you’re a bit harsh on Nico’s communication with Peter. The text message when Peter didn’t show up to the party was understandable; he had certainly given the impression that he’d be there when they spoke hours earlier and he literally said: “We’re about to wrap up for the day.” The scene when Nico tries to delay Peter’s leaving for work is less excusable but given that she doesn’t care much for that particular internship and is a fourteen-year-old who’s probably not very self-reflective in that moment, I wouldn’t say it’s terrible writing although I agree that it’s a bit heavy-handed in creating unnecessary conflict. I liked Nico’s character in Runaways and am looking forward to seeing how they’ll develop her here.
