Just now got to watch the entire second episode not just the outro... "The twink twink fruit".. holy shit that sent me. i also wonder if Magellan would care about Ivankov if he knew. Probably. But maybe he wouldn't care because they still ARE in the prison. Ah well.

Maybe you’ll be surprised to learn Ivankov actually uses neo-pronouns by Japanese standards that are sadly lost in translation. Everyone uses he/him pronouns when referring to him, Queen is his title, but, when he refers to himself he uses “vatashi” replacing the “w” sound from watashi (わたし). A fan later in the series asked Oda about a different character’s pronouns and the oddity of it, but he responds with, “I’m more surprised you didn’t ask about Ivankov’s pronouns since those I just made up.”
