Regarding Portgas D. Rouge - while it could very well have been just a feat of will (she is a D after all), I've also seen it speculated that the flower she keeps in her hair suggests that she was also using it to slow or stall the pregnancy. Like, some naturally-occurring chemical in the flower slows pregnancy, so eating petals from it or making a tincture to ingest would slow or stall her pregnancy with Ace. To be clear, this is purely speculation/conjecture, but imo it has some merit with how prominent the flower is in her design, with it being the only thing we saw detailed when first seeing her silhouette.
