I used the Videomic Pro that attaches to my camera. In the past I've used a Blue Snowball and now an AT2035, both right up close. They're pretty different mics.

There's a strange dissociation effect. If you've ever watched videos of Mark Hamill doing the voice of the Joker it has that effect.
