I personally think you have way too many choices. Lime stone caverns seem to be round with vertical lines. Harder stone caverns tend to be more jagged. Sediments typically layering horizontally or nearly so. I think this will require lots of odd scatter terrain. So the walls will be more scatter terrain for walls. Perhaps planning and thinking this out would be best. Columns and odd restriction pieces might be the mainstay of this system. Then revisit with different textures.

As an aside, I went to wind cave and jewel cave as a part of a family road trip this last summer.

ohhh! im interested to see where you land with this. I am very unhappy with the cavern options right now.

I like the look. I think the hard part will be getting passage ways to look meandering, rather than straight. Maybe if they walls bow and bulge on opposite sides.

Suggest various eroded pits and passages to add spookiness factor. Some examples are included in this blog post about the wind cave in South Dakota. http://taketothehighway.com/2018/10/02/south-dakotas-wind-cave There are always bats flying out of holes in the walls in the movies. The fine details are probably to much to model and print, but the overall look is interesting, Anxiously looking forward to future iterations.

I'll send you a dropbox or similar link tomorrow. Mid-game right now planning an escape.

yeah, pass them to me. I've been in a few, but caverns are varied.

If you're interested I have plenty of reference photos of wet caverns from Luray Caverns?
