Test print of wood floor
🕑 Added 2019-02-08 21:17:07 +0000 UTCHere's an stl of the beta wood texture. I should have been more specific about what I was optimizing for, because I do still like the old wood texture as a model. The problem is that it prints terribly. With that detail on the X & Y, much of it is actually smaller than 0.4mm, so it gets skipped. So what you get is a wood floor that's super rough, hard to paint and tears up your brushes.
The new design as it stands is designed to eliminate most of those problems. I'm printing my first test print of it right now, but I've included a beta stl here that you can also test on your own. I like this. The formula for great wood print and printing is still pretty loose. So far fat dragon is rocking it the best however I'm looking forward to seeing your work.
