SHURA - Chapter 1 [Original Comic][Sketch][Ongoing]
🕑 Added 2021-04-11 17:34:46 +0000 UTCA lot of people through DMs and twitter voted for the third text to be the preferred. Granted I loved the first one as well, it is a little bit harder to read.
In keeping with the samurai theme I'm going for with this story, I decided to go with the third one based on voting and my own judgement. It also matches my art style in a weird way, so I'm quite happy with the result.
Once again, the story summary is this:
It's the Sengoku Period of Japan in an alternate timeline, set in the 1570s as Oda Nobunaga begins his campaign to unify all of Japan under a single government. As a result of his campaign, spirits and demons from Japan's ancient mythology begin raiding across the nation in the wake of the chaos, with supernatural forces quickly beginning to take hold across the island.
In response to the growing threat of the demons and monsters, hunters specializing in the slaying of these evil forces began to appear, forming guilds to combat the devils. They are the Akuma Ryoshi (Demon Hunters).
Ryuichi Shura, a child caught up in the Sengoku conflict, becomes one of these infamous hunters, with his recruitment into the School of the Kitsune laying the foundations for a change in the world's timeline, where worlds cross over, development periods shift drastically, and new and familiar faces are encountered.

It's pretty much Witcher 3... but set in Feudal Japan. With a touch of Nioh in there. Best way I can describe it.

Ahh so you went with the 3rd Font. Nice 👍🏼 I know I picked the first Font, but the 3rd ones good too, I was comparing them based on 2 factors 1) the visual Pronunciation, 2) wich font matches the overall plot setting of the story (😖 between 1 and 3 I couldn’t decide so I picked by coin toss)
