Poll: Miss-Adventures 2 or HHHE
🕑 Added 2022-01-16 21:58:05 +0000 UTCSo, I've been receiving quite a lot of messages from people and I've also noticed it's a returning reason for people to cancel their patreon subs:
"I don't like the new game's subject/style/gameplay"
"I wanted more miss-adventures"
So, that got me wondering... Am I just doing this project for me? It was my idea and so far I'm enjoying making something that's more a game than a sandbox, but if everyone would prefer me to do MAiH that's definitely something I'd want to know.
Just seeing what the fans would prefer :) Definitely won't be dropping HHHE completely as it's somewhat of a passion project and I'm quite happy with what I've got so far and definitely want to finish it, but I could consider doing either MAiH2 on the side or HHHE on the side of MAiH2.
So yeah, not promising anything, just trying to read the room :)

Yeah, I think I'll stick with this, get HHHE done while doing some very minor work on MAiH2 when I don't feel like doing the serious, darker tone of HHHE.

I'd say it's best to focus on HHHE first and maybe take notes, write a paragraph of story once a week so when you eventually do start working on MaiH2 you aren't starting from complete scratch

Eh, I don't care what you make, as long as it's good, which is why I don't vote for this; both MaiH and HHHE have a good premise.

It'd be quite different from the first, but I get your point for sure. I'll definitely be focusing my limited time on HHHE for now and just keep a list of ideas and useful code from HHHE for when I get to the next MAiH :)

Yeah, I tend to agree. I don't have enough time as it is. It's just that I got the feeling people were preferring MAiH, but the polls are actually in favor of HHHE which is good :) so I'll definitely be focusing on HHHE first.

Work on one thing at a time. In the wise words of Rom Swanson "never half-arse two things. Whole-arse one thing." Imo, you've already come this far with HHHE. If you wanna work on MAiH 2, then get HHHE to a mostly complete stage first.

As much as I loved the original Miss, I love the idea of the new game way too much for me to want it delegated to a side project. Miss ran its course, and asking for the exact same thing immediately after will just cause burnout for everyone involved. Finish what you're working on now, and take notes for the next game based on feedback for this one.
