Hallo to Claudia and the Fraugen! I had a nice, lazy Sunday with my friend's dog (the poor thing is so anxious that I've only gotten her to take a few bites of food since I brought her here), cuddled on the couch while I made what should have been a nice, simple line-and-color job on an old sketch into an adventure in difficult light sources and water ripples. (I don't paint water very well. D:) Deciding now whether I have the energy to make tater tots or the like with the turkey my friend left me for suppers. And now, this: <b>Counting on my fingers</b> — Most of the time, I start off with my index finger, but if I know I'm going to be counting to a maximum of three—or if I'm counting in ASL—I'll start with my thumb. <b>The wave of awkward</b> — I've definitely waved at people who were not waving at me. Fortunately, they seldom notice. <b>Throwing their voices</b> — I'm not interested by most ventriloquy shows, though I've seen a few that were enjoyable. <b>Who left the light on for me?</b> — By far at the top of the list in a hotel room is cleanliness, and I've been in perhaps two hotel rooms that met my standards in all my life. (Next one is soundproofing...which is also unsatisfactory in almost all cases.) Though a conference a couple of years ago made me realize that one other thing I need to put on the list is <i>safety</i>. A missing window screen on the second floor—and the window left open by housekeeping staff—could've been disastrous if I had small children in tow. D:
