Just donated. I Lost my grandmother to pancreatic cancer when I was 16 and some friends to other types of cancer over the years, so I'm glad to be able to help.

I just donated to this excellent cause.

I am sorry that everything is so close to you, but I think there is a misunderstanding here. It is not about "cured" or "not cured", but about the support of research on new treatment approaches, method or old better to expand.

No one here has ever judged your own personal opinion. It is your sole decision which methods you believe or not. I ask you to remain objective and to accept our opinion and not to judge why or for what reasons we act.

My mom did all the routes treating holistically as well as chemically and at the end experimentally, but hers was very adaptable and ultimately got her in the end after 2.5 years of fighting. Cancer is your own body malfunctioning, so I doubt it will ever be "cured," but the better the treatments the more we can save. Saving is the goal! I think this is a grand idea.

A good friend is fighting pancreatic cancer right now...thinking of him during this fundraiser. So proud to be able to donate AND provide something for the raffle. And SOOOO PROUD to belong to this amazing community. ❤️

I have had loved ones both die from and survive this nasty beast. Some chose the holistic route some chose modern medicine. Fact is not one of the stands out above the other in terms of curing it. I have seen both treatments fail. I have seen both treatments triumph. No one treatment is going to work for everyone. I find the inflammatory comments above to be quite disheartening and rude. As a medical professional, I agree that there is an over use of modern pharmaceutical treatments...but let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater. That being said...ANY funding going to help research treatment is needed. Because guess what they are not just researching chemical treatment they are also researching more holistic treatments as well. Please donate what you can...I know I will be.

After watching several family members kick cancer’s ass multiple times, I am more than thrilled to donate to this wonderful charity! I won’t be entering for any gifts though. I’m so happy to be a part of this amazing community!

This is awesome! I am so excited by this initiative and all of the amazing talent being gifted. It goes without saying that cancer needs a switch kick in the bollocks. HarD, with a hard fucking D. :: looks at that sentence again. Shrugs:: Add another tick mark in my count of all the reasons why I love this community. I think I am up to 4,569.

My dad survived prostate cancer, my mom and I both are currently surviving carcinoma in situ (which hopefully stays dormant for eternity... cuz I got stuff to do!) 😂 Often times people feel like it’s an automatic death sentence, or that they did something wrong, ate the wrong foods, didn’t do the right exercises, etc. While preventative care is imperative, once you receive the diagnosis HOPE is the greatest medicine of all. Funding this type of research gives people just that and I couldn’t love this community more ♥️♥️♥️

Hi Chanelle - sorry that the charity choice has struck a nerve. I wanted to say that I hear you and understand where you’re coming from. I personally believe in holistic, non-medical treatments and cures first and foremost. However, I also believe that medicine has its place and have seen it help people I love. Yes, it is often ‘big business’ but it also has its own miracles and financial support often helps that happen. We chose the charity we did, as opposed to the larger, more well known ones, because they help fund smaller, more innovative projects by groups that aren’t just a cog in some corporate machine. Sorry to hear that this isn’t something you can get behind and we certainly understand if you would rather not support the fundraising efforts. No judgment. ♥️
