Was looking back at some old posts and realized that I don't think I saw any discussion on other furry folk who would be into Balthazar and Neith! It came to mind here because I remember Tibbs was a big metal fan, but then I remembered Maul Madness existing too and I'm curious if any of these kids cross paths with the big celebrity stars? Has Jude smooched Neith? Did the stage explode from it?

Great question! Pigs are often associated with gluttony and excess. Eating too much, drinking too much, partying too much. "Pig" gets used as an insult in FB as it does in our world, usually to refer to someone crass, slovenly, greedy, or repulsive in a general sense. "Piggish" means greedy, "pigheaded" means stupid and stubborn. Pigs are also associated with poverty and promiscuity, as they have a slightly higher rate of litters than most other mammals. Prey animals sometimes voice their discomfort around pigs, who are not herbivorous and sometimes eat meat. Predators also often write pigs (as well as most large prey animals) off as unintelligent dullards. In reality, however, pigs are quite intelligent and creative. As a species they do certainly love food, but what animal doesn't? Culturally speaking, pigs are among the most community-focused animals, centering family and friends and quick to fight for littler critters. In kinder spaces, pigs are associated with fun, festivity, and cutting loose. From mud baths to bountiful feasts to raging orgies to liquor by the barrel, pig party culture is envied by prey and predators alike.

Oooo!!! I can't wait - I know we have Tibbs, Lulu, Mona, and Teddy/Teddy's rework...I guess we need Perry and Co, too? So Perry, Liv, Perry's dad whose name escapes me atm, the vaguely related aunt/uncle...oh, Dom and Co are related, too. I'm seeing where this might be massive, especially if you're adding more people, haha. Fun lil factoid that's only tangentially related and maybe awkward: We (re)named our puppy Thibodeaux! His original name was Ludwig, but 1) everyone kept hearing Louie, 2) he didn't really seem to respond to it, and 3) Thibodeaux has a lot of fun nicknames. It's not exactly after our favorite big pig, but idk hopefully it tickles someone that a tiny pomeranian mix pup and a massive boar share a name.

There's only 3 pigs. 😔 I originally included Lulu’s father, Thibodeax "Two-Ton Truff" Truffleton the First, but he was so goddamn big he made the family tree look unbalanced. We'll have to meet Tibbs' grandpa some other time~
