*rolls Felix down a hill because nothing angers me quite so much as "let's have a baby! Lol it's your problem now"* Adding only that yep, it's not at all uncommon not to immediately love or even like your baby. It's one of the reasons I don't want children - I already don't like much of what comes with children, the idea that I would be an indifferent (or worse) mother and inflict it on a kid is awful and genuinely makes me sick. It's so unfortunate that Liv didn't really do her research before agreeing to have a baby...it's understandable why, but jfc.

Mix

i love them all omg lol the last one with Nessie on the tail haha

Lopoddity

It's actually quite common for parenting instincts not to come naturally. Parenting is a favorite topic of mine, has been since I was a kid. Many women struggle with postpartum depression and anxiety, which can make it difficult to bond with a baby. Giving birth isn't a magic maternal switch that flips once the baby is born, many, many women don't bond with their babies for months, or even years. And these same women report feelings of shame and isolation, because society of course insists that motherhood is happy and easy, thus many women are forced to keep quiet about their private struggles. Liv was anxious throughout her entire pregnancy, and when Perry was born, she felt...nothing. When Perry would cry, she'd feel a vicious rage she had to struggle to contain. Sometimes, on nights Perry couldn't be soothed, Liv, stressed and overwhelmed, would curl up into a ball on his nursery floor and sob. She felt despair, felt like a failure because she was not feeling what she was supposed to feel toward her baby. Worse yet, all the labor of parenthood fell entirely on her shoulders, she received zero help from Felix, the one who had convinced her to have the baby in the first place. Motherhood did not come naturally to her, and she couldn't speak up about these feelings because she would be shamed and dismissed (by Felix, by her friends, and especially by her own mother). Had Liv a place to process her feelings, she might’ve been able to become a decent parent in the end. Unfortunately though, Liv had nobody to truly talk to, and thus came to resent the cause of her feelings of maternal ineptitude (her own child).

Roe Harries

I find it so interesting that Liv believes parental instincts don't come naturally. Like I know so many people who've always been good, loving parents from the get go. And that's not to say parenting isn't hard, obviously, but it's definitely fascinating how much Liv centres herself and her own experience in regards to everything. Everything is miserable because she chose to wallow in her own misery and everyone else's. She's such a control freak and only thinks of herself and her own points of view.

Lopoddity

It's a preset brush in procreate called Narinder Pencil. I just fiddled with the settings to make it smoother and more pen-like. Max opacity and minimum pressure, or just mess with settings til it feels right

Dragonseeker

“Finally afforded grace and patience and an escape from the stress of living in an underfunded noisy group home, Edmund comes alive. Nothing about him changes, only the way he is perceived and treated.” Actually crying over this. I love your portrayal of him and his place in the family so much already ;0;

Kas

Hello yes I would die for Nessie that is all

Ren

As an autistic whose favorite animal and fursona is a platypus i would DIE for Edmund. And Nessie is literally precious I love baby croc girl

TheTabbyBadger

I’m pretty sure in the very beginning when everyone was a little closer to their pandoraverse expies it was said that Perry and Penny were distant cousins/rivals. Is this still true? (Or did I completely also just mis-remember that?) I was just thinking of cousin Penny being helpful with Snickerdoodle and teaching her safe ways to climb and leap.

Corinne Stephenson

Doodle YES.

Shield

...can i cop that sketch brush...

Lopoddity

Uncle Jamie is a professional baker of tasty treats and is allergic to saying no. He is VERY high on his nieces/nephew's list of favorite people

knickknacks

I love them SO much, what a wonderful gaggle of children! I kiss them all on their foreheads. and then kiss Edmund once more for good measure. I adore all three but have always have a soft spot for platypuses :') Scrolling through this thread I saw some tidbits about how the kiddos get along with their grandmothers- do you have any thoughts on how they'd get along with their uncle Jamie?

Lammergayier

Doodle. Doodle no. Doodle please for the love of furry Jesus Don't Do It-

Lopoddity

Thanks so much for the permission and higher quality scan! THE WORLD MUST SEEEEE

AsTheJayFlies

Liv was my second favorite part of drawing this, beaten only by perrys snarling. That mental image is what pushed me to draw this whole thing, and livs reactions were such fun buildup / glue to those two frames of fury. Id be honored for you to post it, but tbh the terrible quality on that one makes me cringe. Upload this one instead! https://www.deviantart.com/stash/0hbhwgsswoh i dont know why i didnt try using my dads printer to properly scan it the first time. maybe cause it was so late and i didnt wanna bother with formatting jfhdjdhfg

Lopoddity

Well, they know their grandfather Felix is long dead, and they know they're living in his house. As for Liv....yep, the kids are all very curious about her. Memaw Lulu and Nana Mona are so loving and fun, so they were pretty excited when they discovered a third grandmother existed! Snickerdoodle especially is verrrrrrry interested in Liv, and has been relentless attempting to pry info out of Perry. She's frustrated with how needlessly secretive everyone is about Liv, and is doesn't help that the family downplays Liv's toxic qualities (Perry isn't about to tell his daughter that her grandma views her as vermin). Snickerdoodle thinks her poor granny is all alone out there! And maybe starts scheming with her sibs to hatch a plan to finally meet granny dearest....

Lopoddity

Y'all are so mean to Merry and Liv. 🥺 What does Liv bring to the relationship? Everything, of course! Liv was saddled with an ungrateful idiot child and a pathetic wretch of a husband- a man so miserable he wore down every ounce of her empathy and hope, like a river carves through stone. And yet she did not abandon either of them. She dutifully played the part of wife and mother, and where did it get her? She fought Felix for years to give up his vices, and yet in the end she was the one to find him dead in his study from overdose. He left her a sizable parting gift, but their house- the house she tried so desperately to make into a home- was left to Perry. Her needy, extraordinarily irritating child that has defied her at every turn. Liv believes she brings realism to their relationship. All she wants is for Perry to be happy. And he cannot possibly be, not with that brute- the thought of a filthy, stupid, low-class PIG bedding her only child makes Liv SICK. This is not love, it's some vile fetish, or perhaps her idiot child being confused and starved for attention. But even this isn't enough for Liv to abandon Perry. She loyally remains, hoping to pry her child out of that beast's grasp. The notion that they could raise a child together is laughable. Serves them right that the best they could adopt was a rodent. Liv hopes that this will be the wake-up call Perry needs to drop this life, marry a decent suitor and make grandchildren that don't embarrass her to know about, and of course give her back the house out of sheer gratitude for steering him straight. While Liv is aware that she hasn't been a perfect parent, she honestly believes she is the victim in this situation. She believes SHE is the gracious, patient one. She's already made so many allowances for Perry- begrudgingly humoring his gender transition and queerness, tolerating his less than glamorous career choices, even being, in her mind, reasonably civil to Tibbs. How much more can she give? And all for Perry to have the NERVE to say she makes him miserable? Ha! He doesn't know the meaning of misery!

Lopoddity

AHAGSGSVSGSG THIS IS AMAZING!!!! 😍😍😍 Incredible character acting! You absolutely nailed the condescending contempt that oozes out of Liv, her expressions are perfect! And Perry's fangs and arm fur poofing up look exactly the way I imagined it in my head!! I love seeing your take on it, because I imagined Perry saying "Out" as a whisper that takes even himself off guard, but you drew him more confident, reactive, looking Liv right in the eye! Ahagahahaj i am chewing this comic up and eating it for nourishment! Do you think I could post it here on patreon for everybody to see? I know people miss stuff like this hidden in the comments. Perfectly fine if you're not comfortable with it being posted though!

Morghann Patterson

ALSO crocs usually carry their babies in their throat pouch so I’m seeing sleeping bag love in her future

Morghann Patterson

This is amazing! What a show!

Morghann Patterson

“Awwww I hate you too” I have a genuine question, and I know in the mind of an abuser these things don’t necessarily click on- but what value does Liv think she brings here. Like what does she assume she brings to the table in this relationship.

MalloryMarz

Do any of the kids ever get curious about why they don't see their second pair of grandparents? Or does the thought that they have another grandma never cross their minds in a meaningful way, if at all?

AsTheJayFlies

https://www.deviantart.com/stash/0hjsyd61ptu Ummm hi i just Had to draw this,,,, skipped around a bit but. enjoy (sorry for the absolute shit quality. my phone cam sucks complete ass)

Lopoddity

What i don't know could fill a big ass book

Yvette Winters

You mean you didn't know? :P heheh

blackjack .

ohh my goodness im obsessed with them ALL. i feel like we've come full circle from pandoraverse in some way :') i'm enjoying the expanding family trees and dynamics immensely. excited to hear about their fourth kid!!!

Lopoddity

I was joking about how people online keep reading autism into my characters when I'm really just giving them my own personality traits...my friend stopped what they were doing and gave me A Look. Hahaaa ahshshsv

Corinne Stephenson

GotDAMN I need to see the comic version of this. Perry finally giving it to his mother straight will live rent free in my head for the rest of my life.

Tibbles Yorkie789

Someone needs to call Lulu for pest control 😔

Yvette Winters

I have a friend who didn't know he was autistic. Both me and my husband assumed he knew. When he told us he was shocked that we were like, "Wait you didn't know?" That's what Tibbs is experiencing with Perry now I'm sure haha.

Lopoddity

Liv doesn't wanna go anywhere near these mongrels anyway. I wrote a lil Liv blurb further down in the comments :3

Lopoddity

Liv: I'm simply curious, is all. I mean, you've spent several decades now furiously convincing me you aren't a woman, so why now are you attempting to be a mother? Perry: That's not- I'm not- Liv: Do you think parental instincts come naturally? Did you think you'd take your precious bundle home and live happily ever after? Because, darling, I take no pleasure in telling you this, but you're in for a rude awakening. Babies are miserable little beasts. They spew bile from both ends, and throw tantrums at garden parties, and cry, cry, CRY until they've driven you stark mad. Now then, are you truly equipped to handle that? Hmm? Is your swine? Tibbs: *snorts* Liv: Oh don't you make those piggish grunts at me, beast of burden. I will not be cowed! I'm simply speaking the truth! You two want to play house so badly? Well, I say you both need to know exactly what you're getting into! Perry, meekly: Mom, I think- Liv: All this fuss over "adoption", and for what? To bring home that pitiful little rat-! Perry: Out. Liv: Excuse me? Tibbs, sharp: You heard him. Liv, sharper: Oh no, I don't think I did. *to Perry, dangerously sweet* Because I'm certain no child of MINE would ever ask me to leave MY home. Isn't that right, sweetie-lamb? Perry, hesitant, startled at his own bravado: I'm....I'm not asking. Mom, I....ha. *weak chuckle* I think you've made me miserable my entire life. Liv: Ohhh, my sweet kitty-baby. The feeling is mutual~ Perry: But I let it happen, because I always hoped...that you could change. I let you mistreat me-mistreat my husband-! because I was stupid enough to think THIS time, it would be different. Again, and again, and again. I'd hope that THIS time, you'd be better. That you'd finally be who I always needed you to be. Who I wanted you to be. Liv: Yes, I'm quite familiar with the pattern by now. You throw a tantrum because I'm not perfect, and then a month or two later, you oh-so graciously forgive me, and are right back clamoring for my attention like a starving kitten. It's getting old, dear. Perry: Yeah, it is. I'm a dad now, Mom. I can't put you before my kid, or my partner, or myself. Not anymore. You're never going to change. You're just...never gonna be the mom I needed. *beginning to tremble, voice clogging with emotion* You're always gonna be a...y-you're j-j-just a... Liv: Ah, yes, yes, here come the tears, right on schedule. *To Tibbs* SO melodramatic. *To Perry, mocking* I'm just a 'what', darling? Spit it out, come now, be brave. Perry, faltering as she steps closer: You-*breathing growing strained, very obviously struggling not to cry* Yuh....Y-You're a- Liv, imitating his stammering: I-I-I...I'm a- *clutching her chest like a distraught actress* I'm a-! Tibbs, blocking her path: Olivia, that's enough. Liv, neatly side-stepping Tibbs: Hmm? Speak up, Perry. Am I a bully? A tyrant? A mean, rotten mother that won't let you wear a frumpy suit to homecoming? A- Perry, erupting with explosive force, claws coming out and fur bristling: A MISERABLE OLD B I T C H ! ! ! *The outburst is so thunderous and sudden that it awakens Snickerdoodle in the next room, who begins to cry* Liv: Oh ho! *phony clapping* Bravo, darling! Bravo! What a show! Tibbs, touching Perry's shoulder: Sweetheart- Liv: No, no, let him continue! I'm on the edge of my seat! I simply cannot wait to see how he hopes to repair our relationship by insulting his own mother! What a lovely, nurturing temper you've got, my dear! No doubt you'll be a better parent than me~ Perry, furious tears welling up, hissing with animalistic rage: GET. OUT!!! Liv, grabbing her purse: Oh, I'm leaving, love. You needn't shout. I know the next step in this sad little song and dance. Excellent job! You've chased off the villain of your little story! *pats Tibbs' cheek, ignoring his growl* What a lovely visit, I cannot wait to do it again sometime. Perry, bitterly: ...There won't be a next time. Liv: Of course, son. Of course. Just know that when you finally tire of this farce of a life you've built, well...Mother will always be here for you. *stepping through the door* Goodbye now, Perry~ Perry: Goodbye, Liv. Liv pauses at that, and twists round to look back at Perry. But the door is already closed.

D

Oh Jesus. I know Liv is going nowhere NEAR these children, lest Tibbs impale her with a tusk

Lammergayier

Actually now I wonder. Did Liv actually expect Perry to fully cut her out? Or was she caught off-guard? I'm personally just imagining it playing out like: Liv: "your family is a disgrace" Perry: "Alright. I don't want you anywhere near me or my husband or my children ever again" Liv: "pff, yeah okay sure" Liv: Liv: "Wait he was serious-"

Lammergayier

And so she ends up alone and miserable anyway 👏👏👏

Lopoddity

She's not bigoted in that regard, she feels it's fine for her to have married Felix. She would've been fine with Perry marrying a lion or a jaguar or whatever, so long as it was a proud, noble FELINE. Liv is bigoted in that she sees prey animals as inferior. She fully buys into negative stereotypes about other species. She hates Tibbs because he is a stupid slovenly PIG that dares to see himself on her level, and furthermore has sullied her only child with the touch of his filthy hands. Snickerdoodle is vermin to her, a disease-carrying food-hoarding pest. The less said about Edmund, the better. And Nessie is a walking handbag with a brain the size of a marble. Liv would proudly disown the lot of them if she weren't so wretchedly alone and miserable. Unfortunately she just doesn't have it in her to play nice around the kids, so Perry has decided she cannot be in his or his children's lives.

Lammergayier

Liv... girl your husband wasn't even the same species as you. Similar enough I suppose but still. Hypocrite much?

Amanda Stidham

The idea of Nessie staring at Liv from the bottom of the pool and then lunging at her lynx grandmother, with her jaws open wide, is a delightful image.

Lopoddity

Well, Liv is pretty species-ist, and let's be real, Snickerdoodle wasn't exactly the cutest newborn. Liv was already unhappy about Perry polluting her husband's home with low-class swine, but adopting a RODENT was going entirely too far. Perry asks Liv if she'd like to hold her new granddaughter and Liv has to bite back a laugh. That hairless vermin isn't her "grandchild", it's a quivering bald RAT that it's own parents didn't even want. What an embarrassment! Perry, your father would be rolling in his grave! As for the other grandkids, Liv hasn't met them face to face and only knows of them from secondhand gossip. She's not interested in any of them and is in fact FURIOUS that they are living in HER former home, draining the inheritance Felix left Perry. She wanted cute, fluffy, obedient grandkittens (in her heart of hearts she wishes to once again have a child-version of Perry too meek to defy her), not this ZOO that Perry and Tibbs are cobbling together out of unwanted and unloveable freaks.

Lopoddity

Nessie: NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO TORMENT MY FAMILY BUT ME

Heather

HOW DARE YOU JUST DROP GRANDCHILDREN IN MY LAP WITH NO WARNING I NEED PREPARATION IM AN EMOTIONAL MESS EDMUND DOODLE NESSIE COME TO MEMAW!!!!

Corinne Stephenson

Nessie is a darling and nothing you say will convince me otherwise.

gamigami

oh this is all just so delightful... edmund, you have my heart especially. initially i went "Nessie gets bigger than Tibbs?!" as if i didnt live in a place where 6 foot gators get outshone by 12 foot gators. LOL i imagine this size can be quite an inconvenience. is there some type of medication that gators/crocodiles take to prevent themselves from turning into godzilla like monsters? i imagine this could prove to be an issue for crocs, who can grow indefinitely and live close to a century lol. or maybe its that most alligators/crocodiles prefer to live in the aquatic part of society that you've mentioned before? i imagine it would be much easier for them to navigate, as even in real life, they are masters in the water but turn into lumbering rocks with teeth on land

JoeTheCynic

Nessie: Yes Pater, I am conscious of the traditional lexicon spoken in the everyday discourse by you and your peers. But my enjoyment is far more driven by your suffering.

LezzyBugO3O

they're all so cute!!! Though Nessie my beloved ajbshdjd she's definitely my favorite of the three so far

Millions of Bees

I love them, Nessie is adorable and deserves a big hug even if she will bite whoever is hugging her. How does Liv feel about her gaggle of grandchildren?

ummhallelujah

Nessie gives me 'girly girl with a girly secret' vibes

Morghann Patterson

Also, I wonder if in her case something would have happened to her parents- croc moms are known for sticking by their kids, and saltwater crocs are especially violent about it- they lay up to 90 eggs and stay with all of them for several months! (Granted other crocodiles go ‘mmm tasty babies’ but it’s certainly not for lack of trying on her part)

Morghann Patterson

Baby pictures of Nessie must be adorable, saltwater crocs start off teeny at 11 inches!

phobos

I LOVE THEM ALL AAAAH. Also mental image of enormous middle-school-age Nessie not-so-subtly threatening anyone who talks shit about her family or bullies her siblings.

Lopoddity

Yup. "Altogether, they have four children, though for now we’ll just meet the first three." I don't blame anybody for missing that among all my rambling tho. Perry and Tibbs adopt 4 kids- first Snickerdoodle, then Edmund, then Nessie, and finally Mavis, who we have not yet met. The sketches were starting to pile up and I thought it'd be less overwhelming for y'all if I gave Mavis her own sketch dump post.

Jason Hutzel

You said 4 kids

Lopoddity

All of those are super cute!! 😍 The jury is out on whether reptile brains are biologically different, or if reptile culture is the cause for their offputting quirks and personalities. Reptiles would say they're perfectly normal and that mammals are weak-minded snobs. While licking their own eyeball clean, of course. Platypuses (and other monotremes) are among the few mammals without mammaries, so yeah, they can go topless if they feel like it. Edmund probably did lick milk off a damp towel as a wee platypup, as that would've felt more natural to his species that nursing from a bottle.

Lopoddity

Mona and Lulu would probably say they love their grandbabies equally, but Lulu is definitely closer to her loud, excitable granddaughter Snickerdoodle (her first grandbaby!!), while Mona gets along better with polite, calm Edmund. That's not to say Lulu doesn't take Edmund on crayfish catch n' cooks, or Mona doesn't enjoy making sock puppets with Doodle- just that they've got a unique bond with Edmund and Doodle respectively. Lulu isn't afraid of Nessie's biting like Mona is (she's wrestled a gator or two down in the bayou), and they get along great, with Lulu cooking up endless dishes to distract Nessie's jaws. Mona gets cornered and chomped more frequently than she'd like, but she's always wanted a daughter, and so she quite enjoys dressing Nessa up in pretty dresses and ribbons. And Nessa likes making goat grandma faint when she lunges at her!

Lopoddity

yeag ;3

Lopoddity

Adoption agencies in FB have two forms. There are private agencies that generate revenue matching cute babies to wealthy parents, and thus focus largely on in-demand mammals like puppies, kittens, and bunnies- the younger the better. Then there are state-run care facilities, usually underfunded and overcrowded. Their sole aim is to offload as many children as possible to lighten the strain on their resources. The law provides many legal protections and strict requirements regarding the adoption of disabled children, but these laws are not often enforced. It's not terribly unusual for agencies to misrepresent a child's species or age or needs in order to lure in a prospective parent. It's not uncommon for children to be moved from one home to another as adoptions fail to stick. It's not uncommon for children to remain unadopted and age out into adult homelessness (eg. Virgil and Sav). Abuse and neglect are rampant. Many foster care workers, underpaid though they be, desperately try to provide good care to their charges and get them into good homes, but the institution is flawed to its core.

Gray

Oh this is WONDERFUL and absolutely warms my heart, what a beautiful family 😭 Tibbs and Perry have quickly become my favorite couple! Question, was Nessie's quote inspired by the alien dog from Teen Titans? I remember that quote so vividly from the show! 💖

Lopoddity

Super stoked cuz i finally found a brush in procreate that feels natural and smooth, like a ballpoint pen (my favorite tool to draw with). Before sketch dumps were a pain in the ass because my procreate brushes were too pencil-like and required too much pressure to make a mark no matter how much i fiddled with settings, made my hand cramp. :( But with this brush I can doodle more and doodle faster!

Paladin

I love all of the kiddos, but especially Edmund. I really appreciate the fact that Perry and Tibbs are so patient with him and just give him space to be himself. Also, I'd just like to say thanks for including autistic characters (since I am myself)!

Scyllarus

Not me screaming and wailing and kicking about these children and these dads and also the handshake meme between me and these two in the autism x ADHD couple combo Please have some fun lil ideas: Nessa DEMANDS to braid Tibbs' hair and Tibbs proudly wears his ribbon-bedecked 'do. I also like the idea that Perry takes Nessa to Priscilla's salon for girl time, and also incidentally finds it super helpful to learn reptile skincare from maybe Isla...? Edmund politely tolerating Lulu's side of the family, but finding a lot of peace sitting with Gramma Mona and having a fancy teatime. Snickerdoodle being a big sister is also super cute to me? Like - even as adults, even when she's shorter than Edmund, she's willing to whip out a cheek-knife to defend her lil baby bro (or sis. Or sib.) Other random thoughts: It's always interesting to me that reptiles are thought of as coldly intellectual, since we also think of our instinctual mind as a "lizard brain." Is it actually a physiological difference in FB reptiles to be less emotional, or is it a cultural/societal expectation? I know you've mentioned that wild animal behaviors aren't an issue in FB, and that private bits are more...standardized, but...how do monotremes deal with nursing? Would Edmund have required...idk, a rag soaked in milk? Do monotremes need to hide their...milk patches for public decency? I'm realizing that since they're not mammals, they don't have breasts, but ??????

Alight

Yay! Doodles! Oh how I have missed ye.

Ruki

I love all these different species!! I do have a question about the large world of FB and their adoption. What is the typical culture surrounding adoption and the world workings of it? Like, if it's all still the same as before, the orphanage that Sav and Virg was at was pretty rough. Same as this agency, as it sounds. Children with disabilities or special needs actually require a more extensive adoption process in most adoption agencies. So how does the world of FB with more adoptions happening differ from our world? Are dogs the typical first to be adopted? Do kids age out of the system or stay based on their species? Do other adoption agencies function differently?

Dean

I need to know what Mona and Lulu think about their grandbaby hoard. Pwease. I'll offer my immortal soul in return

FancylionFarts

I love the babies🥰 but I have to say, even though perry started out as my all time favorite, tibbs gets more and more of my heart every time I see him 🥹

forthehonor-ofgayskull

Yeah I feel tibbs. Took me 25 years to figure out I was autistic and 32 to figure out I had adhd. I love Nessie so much. Crocodiles are one of my favorites so I'm glad we're finally seeing one in FB!

Lammergayier

I'm so sorry I didn't mean to reply 😭

Lammergayier

Nessie is the weird girl rep we need

owlcoholik

Hehe just like Timon and Pumbaa

Lopoddity

Nessie, internally: Father, I crave flesh. Fetch it for me at once, lest your stringy cat meat become my next meal. Nessie out loud: p ew pew

Lopoddity

A reptile's heart is as cold as it's blood, with no room for love or mercy!! >:O But also Nessie cannot sleep without her goodnight kissy from her daddies

Lopoddity

Edmund, presented with every toy, book, and video game Tibbs and Perry can afford: i sleep Edmund, offered a map of the limited service downtown metromover rail line: real shit???

Lopoddity

You got it! Delighted someone clocked that scribbly family portrait. Also yeah, I imagine Tibbs and Edmund sitting next to each other on the couch watching a documentary about the popularization of intercity bus service, not talking, no snacks. Both having the time of their goddamn lives

Tibbles Yorkie789

That makes sense! I guess it kinda spoils some characters storylines anyway, but I really love your art with young characters nextgen or old!

pitviperofdoom

I love every one of these children equally and have no favorites. *trips and falls and pictures of nessie spill out of my pockets* I can see Grandma Lulu having the time of her life, but with this many oddball children in the house I can see Liv swiftly running out of last chances.

Lopoddity

Ohhh I really don't wanna get in the habit of making more "nextgen", besides Tibbs and Perry's third daughter. Several characters have kids in the future, but idk if we'll meet em

Lopoddity

Haha, I almost named her Ellie!

Mangosight

Oh meemaw Lulu is absolutely being kept young and sprightly with these kiddos, good for them, good for them

Roy van der Hel

They are all SO CUTE My gosh I love every single one of them

werewargs

Yes the family photo! I love seeing them together and then the silly one of Doodle nearby lol

Morghann Patterson

Nessie probably makes those little laser beeps when she’s looking for her dads~

AsTheJayFlies

nessie reminds me strongly of pandoraverse’s ellie, the chupacabra kid that monty and smokey end up adopting :) wouldnt surprise me if that was the intention <3

nighthawk0913

Please let Nessie know I love her

mailebird

*deep inhale, but then quietly, as to not startle* Edmund, my sweet precious baby boy straight from heaven or whatever powers felt the world worthy enough to bless it with you, allow me to pledge my allegiance to you, my perfect little platypus. I shall bring you only the finest road maps, city maps, railway maps, and if you're feeling adventurous, perhaps even some oceanic shipping routes. May you never want for model trains, train tracks, and toy trucks. Okay but that is the CUTEST wee little bab I've ever seen.

AsTheJayFlies

I hadnt considered tibbs being autistic before, but now that im thinking abt it it makes total sense. his precociousness as a child, his preference for physical labor over dealing with people (like with his old janitor job, and iirc his share of the BnB operations? like he does the back end of the housekeeping+cooking and perry handles all the customer-facing stuff) And ough all the babies r so cute,,,, and i love the low detail sketchy family photo in the bg of the fifth pic. from left to right its lulu, tibbs, perry, jamie, and mona, right?

Lopoddity

Sorry for the confusion! >< Fuzzbutts doesn't really have a main story or main character. It's an anthology series of loosely connected slice of life tidbits exploring many different characters. The closest media example I can think of is Hey Arnold, or Beast Complex. Like, there's no gripping narrative where characters save the world or fight an enemy, the only narrative is how the characters and their relationships grow and change. With worldbuilding bits and lore thrown in for added flavor. I always imagined that if FB was a show, the first episode would introduce us to Penny and Cupcake and the various denizens of their boarding house (Sunny, Bruce, Lune, Victoria), and then the show would sprawl out as more characters and stories were introduced.

werewargs

YES MANY OF THEM!! HOARD OF BABIES <333

pookaWOODS

OOOMMMMMMGGG I can't even pick a fave!!! I love the last doodle of Nessie and Tibbs so much.

Tibbles Yorkie789

And so Snickerdoodle tested the theory that squirrels can’t take fall damage. And again, and again, and again… We now have Axel, Doodle, Nessie, and Edmund for cutest future babies, are there any other couples or others we know that will have kids later in the timeline?

CJ Strahd

YEAHHHHH i am unbelievable excited for Mavis now

Lopoddity

They adopt one more after Nessie. Their teen daughter, Mavis. :3 Kinda felt like she needed her own seperate sketch dump

Doglover502

What a beautiful family. Also man I NEED to see that little moment with Edmund’s hand on Tibbs’ it’s adorable. Curious to see what this fourth baby looks like Also, I’ve just been wondering, what is exactly the main story of Fuzzbutts? Not that I don’t love everybody, I love all of them, but I guess its been a little confusing sometimes to know who exactly the main story is about sometimes. I hope that makes sense. I guess it’s more I’m not sure which character its really like “this is their story and everyone else as well that’s living there”. I hope this makes sense, I feel like I’m not really explaining it well

You let that child jump off all the roofs she wants! It's what makes her happy!! That and her knife collection that young children usually acquire.

Also after reading I adore Edmund just as much, sweet baby child

Oh my goodness they are adorable! 💖💖💖 I specially love Nessie, there's something so cute about "scary characters with unhinged behavior" that have the most adorable hobbies, are very girly, or just love cute things. Even if the kids have the loving home any kid deserve there's something so... Ugly in the aptitude of the adoption agency, like they were so sure this couple was going to "fail" and return the "difficult kids" like wow these are kids not some kind of object, Jesus wtf is wrong with the people in charge of adoptions, why so cruel?! It remains to this lady that is a foster parent with experience in many types of kids/teens with different necessities and traumas, and her videos are sooo healing, she gives very good advice, especially with kids that sadly are unwanted cuz disabilities or "problematic behavior" aka trauma cuz horrible families or crappy foster homes 😔

I would kill myself for Nessie. She is absolutely precious. I adore her. Also. You said 2 out of 4, is that a typo or surprise kid? 👀

THESE ARE AMAZING!! Edmund has my whole heart. I can’t believe how cute you managed to make an anthro platypus, I am borderline reeling over it. I am over the moon with this whole family!

Oh this is awesome, I was hoping we’d learn more about Tibbs and Perry’s other kiddos! I love all their differing personalities, and also I really appreciate how you represent different types of queer families in your stories - Toffee and Bob perfectly happy and childfree, Mal and Topher having a kid the traditional way, and these two fostering/adopting a big happy family of oddballs. It’s really great to see all of them portrayed in a positive way :D

Edmund not liking hugs but enjoying proximity and holding hands is so relatable as that was me a kid. Nessie is absolutely adorable and probably my favorite of the trio shown here.
